This work covers offences where someone is alleged to have driven a vehicle after consuming alcohol to over the legal limit or while unfit through drink. It includes preparing and advising on prosecutions under the Road Traffic Act and related legislation, handling evidence such as breath or blood tests, and dealing with consequences like disqualification, fines and potential penalties. A solicitor in this area helps you understand the evidence, liaises with the police and prosecutors, and represents you in court to challenge or mitigate outcomes.
The central concern is the possible loss of driving licence and the consequences of conviction, including disqualification, penalties and a criminal record. A solicitor provides guidance on the strength of the case, the process in magistrates’ courts, and any available defences or deferral options, supported by regulatory and evidentiary considerations such as breath-alcohol limits and testing procedures.

I used Paris as my solicitor for a Drink-driving offence I had committed. I found her and the rest of the team at Ashtons Legal LLP very professional and also supportive in assisting me with it. I would have no hesitation recommending her services.
