Restoration of licence covers the process of re‑obtaining a driving licence after a disqualification or suspension, including when a court or the DVLA has placed conditions on re‑licensing. A solicitor practises in this area by guiding the client through the application to lift or end a disqualification, preparing disclosures and representations, obtaining medical or other reports where needed, and dealing with the DVLA and the Department for Transport to restore driving entitlements. The work is shaped by the length of the disqualification and any required reviews or compliance steps.
The specific disqualification or suspension kept the client from driving, and the civil or criminal consequences of ongoing enforced restraint. A solicitor helps ensure timely, correct applications to restore entitlement, including navigating deadlines, evidence requirements, and any conditions set by the court or DVLA. The process hinges on meeting the criteria for restoration and responding to any objections or medical or compliance prerequisites.

I used Paris as my solicitor for a Drink-driving offence I had committed. I found her and the rest of the team at Ashtons Legal LLP very professional and also supportive in assisting me with it. I would have no hesitation recommending her services.
