    Lucy Bridge - A first time buyers dream We were recommend Sweeney Miller by our mortgage advisor and luckily we were assigned Lucy and Ethan. The buying process was so unbelievably stress free and that’s all down to Lucy’s incredible communication. Despite us being 2 hours away from her office, each document was sent promptly, questions answered within 24 hours and the exchange finalised within required time frame.     Sweeney Miller recently did the conveyancing on my sale and purchase. Communication was ok, but could have been swifter. I found out from the estate agent for the house I was buying that we had exchanged, and then completed some time before Sweeney Miller told me. The app was reasonably pointless. It was never up to date on the stage of the process and everything was done over email anyway. I'd asked to use Docusign but was sent everything to print out, sign and post back. Surely in 2024 there are better ways of handling signing of documents.

As for DocuSign, I understand from the team that your request for the documents to be DocuSign was sent after we had already sent the documents out to you.     Sweeney Miller Law were recommended to us and unfortunately we found the service very poor. As first time buyers, nothing was explained to us, leading to us asking questions and their replies would be very short, inconsistent and confusing. I found many errors in the contract regarding the purchase amount and address details of our property to which I never received apologies for. I had to chase multiple times for updates, especially for our property searches and found out they were returned 3 weeks prior which cause further delays. It was very stressful to an already stressful situation and as a result I would not recommend them.

We note from the file that our team was in regular contact with you throughout the matter and there is nothing on the file to suggest that you mentioned to the team dealing that you had any issue with the quality of the updates. Whilst we do not have an issue with clients calling multiple times for updates, this does not mean that we would not have updated you had it not been for you calling multiple times. Our service levels are clearly set out in our client care documentation, and we note that the matter completed in just over 2 months. As for searches, we have already advised that these are done by a third party, and we wouldn’t normally chase searches when they are within the timescales provided by the agent.
