Churchers Solicitors Representation

I worked closely with Tom Cooke and Rachel Wigley, who handled my court case and trial with professionalism and dedication throughout. They were consistently reliable, kept communication clear and prompt at every stage, and invested a huge amount of time and effort into building a strong case and defence on my behalf. Thanks to their hard work, we achieved a successful outcome. I would highly recommend Churchers, especially Tom and Rachel, to anyone in need of legal representation. They provide outstanding support and go above and beyond to ensure every aspect of your defence is handled with the utmost care and commitment.

Sentencing Hearing

The solicitor who represented my son was knowledgeable and prompt with responses. Very professional in and out of the courtroom and presented our case in a clear and considerate manner ultimately gaining a non custodial sentence. Very grateful for all Ms Wigley advised us on from start to finish.

Inexperienced and unhelpful

From police station representation to sentence this firm simply did not listen. Having offered strong mitigation for some offences, these solicitors just did not even look at it. Had this been looked at in the police station I believe some of the charges would have never been brought. At sentencing my solicitor chose not to put forward some of the mitigation. These solicitors did not feel like they had my best interest at the forefront and I felt like a burden.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the service we provided. The advice given to you was based on the evidence available and on your instructions. In relation to some of the charges, you had no lawful defence, and you were advised accordingly. Unfortunately, the messages you refer to do not alter that position. We are required to advise you in accordance with the law, and the decision to plead guilty was ultimately your own. You were also informed that you could make an application to re-open your plea, but you chose not to pursue this. Regarding mitigation, we must balance accepting responsibility with presenting personal factors in a way that does not excuse or shift blame. It was explained to you that not every point will be beneficial to raise in mitigation.

Awful

Solicitors from this firm from the moment of police station representation to sentence and beyond simply did not listen. I offered very strong mitigation for crimes I admitted to and this was never ever looked at by my solicitor, had this been looked at I believe the outcome would have been very different. Advised me that I had "no defence" without ever looking at the text messages, photos and documents I wanted to put forward as a defence and advised that in their opinion I should plead guilty. Unfortunately I took this advice.
