I was recommended to BLJ by a friend and following my experience I would highly recommend them to a friend also. Our case was not straightforward as such I really appreciate how helpful, patient and progressional BLJ were throughout. You were always on the ball and kept us informed at every stage, which made what could have been a very stressful process feel much more manageable. Whenever I needed to get in touch you were always happy to take my calls (very different from most solicitors who love a phone dodge). You have been very proactive chasing things up and keeping us informed the loop which despite you being a little more expensive than other quotes, it validates the saying ‘you get what you pay for’. Your communication and support throughout the whole process was excellent and it was clear that you genuinely cared about getting everything over the line for us. Thank you again for all your hard work, patience & support. I would have no hesitation in recommending your firm to anyone looking for a solicitor and I am very grateful for everything you did to help us get the sale completed. I’ve had a really positive experience throughout the process of selling my first home. Rachael and Shania were extremely helpful and supportive, particularly when there were difficulties around proposed completion dates and I felt that they genuinely listened to me, stood up for my position and made sure I wasn’t put under pressure to agree to something that didn’t work for me. Communication was excellent throughout and they made what can be a very stressful process feel much more manageable. I’m really grateful for all of their help and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

In short the top and bottom of the process is understandably complex particularly when a chain is involved. Rachael was able to provide details often in a timely manner and conveyed technical matters in an understandable way which was helpful for us both as the process is exciting and stressful. When it mattered most towards the end of the process of house purchase Rachael and Shania were very proactive in their approach and dealt with the matter impeccably to secure a suitable date for me and my partner. Sometimes the app used felt a bit poor e.g. couldn’t attach documents we needed to send across so had to email alternatively. Also sometimes in the process, it took a while to receive responses back through the app, this left us with some slight uncertainty and nervousness throughout parts of the process as we want to feel involved and in communication transparently and openly throughout. Also, due to nature of app, when dealing with multiple parties it would be ideal to copy other parties into correspondence to further enhance transparency and pass information across more easily at times. I found myself often having to copy and type out responses through the app on my mobile instead of the ability to simply just forward documents. All in all happy with service provided for most part and grateful for help and understanding difficult question you both answered when dealing with ourselves.

We had very little experience (this was our first sale/purchase), so it was amazing to have Shania on hand to answer our queries. Despite our constant questions, both her & Rachael seemed to really understand the situation and did everything they could to get information for us. If it hadn’t been for our buyer changing solicitors mid process Rachael would have had the whole thing wrapped up really quickly. Thanks again, now the hard work decorating starts!!
