This is long, but in short I strongly advise against this unprofessional firm. The service was extremely poor, at best. I instructed this firm and did all the onboarding with them and had money on acount. Then their conveyancer didn't respond to the anything from the estate agent for my purchase. No acknowdglement of receipt of Memorandom of Sale two weeks on. I emailed, called and nothing. I then found out that the conveyancer was away. I called on the day she was due back and was told she was now on sick leave and that someone would definitely get back to me the next day. No-one did. The following day, I emailed as no-one picked up the phone (something that's been a pattern throughout this ordeal). I was informed the conveyancer was back, but that she was leaving the firm that day. I asked to be forwarded to the solictor, who I'd also spoken to a few weeks ago. I was told he just left too. I asked if I had been assigned someone to progress my purchase given that two weeks had already been lost, and no-one responded to my emails. I called and left messages 7 times in the last 2 days to get an answer. No-one from conveyancing called me back. The poor family law team had to keep running upstairs to ask them to call back. Finally got hold of the practice manager Ben Few, and now it's so clear why all of their conveyancers left en masse! Awful guy. Rude, no apologies for holding my sale up, and just kept repeating my email about asking for a refund if I don't get a solictor and ignored all the others I told him about that were just requesting a solictor or even a response. He said bluntly, you'll get your money back, go elsewhere as you wish. In conclusion, if you don't want to be ignored, or your sale to be delayed, avoid at all costs. I wish I knew sooner.

I had a good experience with Daniel Woodman & Co solicitors from start to finish. They were generally very responsive and on the ball with chasing up enquiries. All of the staff were very friendly. There were no hidden costs and I think my final bill was actually a little less than what they initially quoted. I would recommend them as a conveyancer.

I don't often write Google reviews, but after my experience with Daniel Woodman Solicitors, and particularly with my solicitor, Ruth Slader, I genuinely felt that this was one I needed to write. I believe people should know when a firm has gone above and beyond, especially when choosing the right solicitor can make such a huge difference during an incredibly difficult time. Having been through similar situations before and previously not having that confidence or trust in the solicitor representing me, I found choosing a solicitor this time particularly difficult. I was worried about putting my trust in someone again and whether I would genuinely feel listened to, understood and supported. Those worries were completely erased by the care Ruth and the firm afforded to us. From the beginning, Ruth was incredibly kind, compassionate and understanding. What stood out to me more than anything was that the focus was always on us as people and on achieving the best possible outcome for our situation. It was very apparent that financial considerations were never what drove the care we received. Our wellbeing, our circumstances and making sure we felt supported came first and foremost, and that is something you simply cannot put a price on. Ruth was extremely knowledgeable and informative, and it was clear that she knew exactly what she was doing. At the same time, she had a way of wording and explaining things with kindness and sensitivity, which made difficult circumstances much easier to navigate. Having a disability can sometimes make communication more difficult for me, particularly when I'm anxious or overwhelmed. Ruth seemed to understand this effortlessly. She communicated with me in a way that worked for me, made sure I understood what was happening and kept me updated throughout. There were times when my anxiety meant I worried I was contacting them too much or becoming a bother, but I was never made to feel that way. Instead, I was reassured that they were there for me, that I could ask questions and that their job was to help me. That reassurance might seem like a small thing, but when you're going through something stressful and frightening, it means more than I can put into words. Daniel Woodman Solicitors helped me during what genuinely felt like my hour of need. The compassion, patience and humanity shown to us, alongside their professionalism and legal knowledge, gave me a level of confidence and reassurance that I hadn't experienced previously. I am incredibly grateful to Ruth Slader and everyone at Daniel Woodman Solicitors for everything they have done and, just as importantly, for the way they treated us throughout. They didn't just make me feel represented — they made me feel heard, understood and genuinely cared about. I wholeheartedly recommend them, and although I don't often take the time to leave reviews, I felt it was important that others looking for legal support knew just how exceptional our experience with this firm has been. I can confidently say this is the best solicitor firm in Bristol. Daniel Woodman is the person I entrusted with my driving offence and within just three days he resolved my case and achieved the best possible outcome under the law.
