I needed a solicitor to handle the legal aspects of extending the lease on my flat. Aldridge Brownlee were recommended by an estate agent I consulted. I was very satisfied with my choice. It was a long hard slog of 11 months for me but most of it was the freeholder and his solicitor.

I found the appointment with the legal executive very helpful. I feel reassured that the matter is resolved as I wished.
Whilst appreciating the legal niceties, I felt I was disenfranchised as an executor and spent a lot of time chasing to find out how things were progressing. I felt there was a lack of urgency in progressing the work and unnecessary delays throughout the process. More effective use of my skills could have been made as the estate executor. This is always a stressful process and the delays and lack of urgency stress levels unnecessarily.
We are sorry to learn that you felt disenfranchised as an executor and that your skills were underused in this instance. We are conscious that delays cause stress to both executors and beneficiaries and aim to administer estates quickly whilst also ensuring that all relevant matters are dealt with appropriately and carefully.
