I ended up in a legal situation that was rather mystifying - I had a no-fault car accident, the other party admitted liability and it was settled. But then their insurers spent months questioning the level of payment I had been given and, for some reason, I was the one named as fighting them to extricate the full amount to be paid to my insurer (rather than my own insurer). Thankfully Jackson & Boyd's solicitor kept me informed, answered all my questions, and (long story) persuaded the 3rd-party insurer to pay up.

You might have ‘legal expenses’ cover with your home or other insurance, if so read on. Jackson Boyd are the panel solicitors for at least one of these insurers, and while this might contain some insurance element, it is primarily a method for channelling business to Jackson Boyd. Jackson Boyd, at least for the legal expense insurance side of their business, is a glorified claims management company. Their primary source of income in these cases seems to be the judicial expenses which they recover from the other side, and these are a relatively paltry amount. Consequently you may get an unqualified claims handler or paralegal handling your case. They might even under settle your claim. One of the Partners, Mr David McKinney, tried to ‘strong-arm’ me into settling a claim for an amount which another firm has labelled ‘derisory’. He even did so by misrepresenting the legal position around the personal injury ‘qualified one way cost shifting’ protocol. My injuries turned out to be serious and life altering. I have now moved to a ‘proper’ law firm that are genuinely fighting for my interests. The success fee they will take is worth every penny. In summary, if you are seriously injured go to a firm where your case will be handled by an experienced qualified solicitor and they will get a barrister on board early. Digby Brown, Thompsons and Balfour & Manson are a good starting point. Someone accredited as a personal injury specialist with the Law Society of Scotland or Association of Personal Injury Lawyers is a decent indicator of quality. If you are wanting a cheap solicitor that will cut corners and act with their own interests at heart, Jackson Boyd are the firm for you.

I BELIEVE FRAUD AND CRIMINALITY BY DAS Lots of fake 5 star reviews, I have a Policy with DAS through my Inurance company, I have been charged by the Police with sitting behind an MDP vehicle and following it, I have Dash Camera Footage that show that this never happened. My Policy states, COSTS AND EXPENSES TO DEFEND AN INSURED PERSON'S LEGAL RIGHTS IF AN EVENT LEADS TO THEIR PROSECUTION FOR AN OFFENCE CONNECTED WITH THE USE OR DRIVING OF A MOTORISED VEHICLE, Quite simple, DAS asked me if I would use one of their panel Solicitors, I said yes, I asked for the names of them, I contacted them all one was in Northern Ireland and they said they did not do work in Scotland where I am, I contcted the two Scottish Solicitors they gave me, they both told me that they did not do Criminal Cases. So they have no Solicitors on the panel that will do this type of case, they sent it to Jackson Boyd Solicitor in Glasgow, they allegedly contacted the PF, but they would not give them any information about my case because they said they had not be authorised to do my case, but DAS said they were dealing with my case, so why did Jackson Boyd not advise the PF that they had been authorised to deal with my case, they advised Das said this is not a motoring offence, but I am insured for anything to do with a Motorised Vehicle, So my Insurance company is selling me a Legal Expenses Policy that DAS has no Solicitors on its Panel that can help me, Thoug they advised me that Jackson Boyd would do my case, So this is basically the Proceeds of Crime and Money Laundering, I have a worthless Legal Expenses Policy my Insurance Company sold me with DAS that they will not cover what I am insured for, When I phoned up Jackson Boyd about what they had said to DAS about my claim, they had no information about me, even with me giving them all my details and my DAS claim reference, So I believe some sort of FRAUD IS GOING ON HERE WITH DAS AND JACKSON BOYD IN GLASGOW. DAS SAID THEY WOULD SEND ME A COPY OF THE EMAILS IT sent to Jackson Boyd, but my name and the charges were allegedly sent to Jackson Boyd, so why does Jackson Boyd not have any information about me (RECORDED TELEPHONE CALLS WITH JACKSON BOYD) I believe this is just a massive FRAUD BY DAS AND JACKSON BOYD SOLICITORS IN GLASGOW. Why did DAS send my details and my case to Jackson Boyd when they do not deal with criminal matters, This is a case involving my car as detailed in my Policy, but Jackson Boyd says it is not a Motoring Charge, so they refuse to deal with it, I BELIEVE THEY DO NOT HAVE THE EXPERTISE TO DEAL WITH THIS SIMPLE CASE. ON MY BEHALF, (Recorded phone call with DAS) When you are dealing with DAS AND JACKSON BOYD make sure you record your telephone calls. I see DAS has a 52% Dissatisfaction Rate, and they appear to be very pleased about this. I believe they are trying to reach a 100% Dissatsfaction rate. Well I would give DAS and Jackson Boyd a MINUS 5 STARS, But that is not allowed, I see from the reviews that they have a lot of clients that they do not know about and do not know they are clients. IAnd I bet when they asked these people to contact them, they got no satisfaction or progress with their cases, INCOMPETENCE IS TO KIND A WORD, I BELIEVE PROCEEDS OF CRIME AND MONEY LAUNDERING WOULD BE BETTER. I now have evidence of CORRUPTION BY THE PROCURATOR FISCAL AND THE SCOTTISH COURT SERVICES , I ALSO BEILIEVE A SHERIFF IS INVOLVED IN THIS AS I AM TOLD HER HUSBAND IS A POLICE OFFICER, SO THIS I BELIEVE INVOLVES DAS, JACKSON BOYD, PROCURATOR FISCALS, POLICE, MDP AND A SHERIFF, AS I HAVE DASH CAMERA FOOTAGE PROVING THE CHARGES ARE LIES, PERJURY BY THE MDP, ALSO NICOLA STURGEON AND BORIS JOHNSON HAVE THE EVIDENCE OF THE LIES AND THIS STITCH UP AND ARE DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT, EMAILS AND RECORDED LETTERS SIGNED FOR PROVE THAT THEY ARE ALSO INVOLVED IN THIS LIES AGAINS ME. ALSO DOUGLAS ROSS AND DAVID DUGUID ARE ALSO INVOLVED HERE, THEY HAVE THE EVIDENCE AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD LOOK INTO IT BUT DID NOTHING.I have a Police Officer on my case that had a Website. I also have a lying Farmer Peter Robertson, Ednie Farm, St Fergus, AB42 3BY, that lied to that Police Office, and Lying MDP Officers that accused me of an incident, at 10-30 when I was not in that area at the time, I had dash Camera footage and witnesses that I was miles away from that area, But the of a Police Officer changed the time of the alleged incident to between 10-30 and 11-00 am, that makes no difference as I was still not in that area. WELCOME TO CORRUPT SCOTLAND, Where the Police, PF, MDP, Scottish Court Services, a Sheriff, DAS, Jackson Boyd and Peter Robertson are all involved in lying, and attempting to defeat the ends of justice and perjury

Trying to get a reply from Eve & Gillian was beyond difficult to the point I missed my court date and lost. This may have been because it was through insurance it wasn’t their priority. Cost me tens of thousands! Good luck to anyone using this company

Looking at the 4 & 5 star reviews here, I'm wondering if this really is the same firm that has been representing me over the past 2 yrs! Simply put I would never ever use Jackson Boyd ever again. They have been handling a case on my behalf & were appointed via my home insurance policy. Whether or not this should make any difference is unclear & I would hope not, but they appeared happy enough to take the money from the Insurance provider yet their handling of this case has been nothing short of appalling. I've had three different Solicitor's over two years & when the case finally made it to Court in June 2025 I was awarded compensation plus costs. It then emerged that as the other party was an English based company, the Court Decree from a Scottish Court had to be converted. That was fair enough so it was left to Jackson Boyd to apply for this. Six months on & despite urgent E-Mails from ARC Legal & repeated phone calls from myself, this had never been done. Only after I complained to their complaints manager last week, did he state that they had now applied for the necessary conversion as of that day. During the last 6 months their communication has been woeful & while they have dithered the other party have actually ceased trading as of last month. Absolutely the worst firm of Solicitors I have ever used & would never ever use again. They have done nothing short of jeopardizing my entire case.
