Richard Bate took on Brian’s case a year after his accident as our original solicitors went into liquidation and we were not informed. All I see is reviews of people who have used them for a house purchase so I wanted to leave a review for something different. Adam and Paul worked very hard for me on a personal injury case which contained very difficult circumstances, the case went on for over 2 years and I trusted their advise along the way. What they had achieved for me was life changing and he's still continued to not only fix damages of my past but also allow me to improve the possibilities and circumstances of my future. If you are looking for a solicitors and in doubt of who to go to, I would highly recommend them from personal experience. They were very fair to me and explained everything I didn't understand along the way.

Alistair Chiswell ... oh my, what a lovely chap that I would very highly recommend and will be using again myself in the future, if the need should ever arise. Alistair was extremely polite and professional. He was very adaptable and took his time in explaining the ins and outs of the legal process which required numerous telephone conversations. Within this time he understandably knew a great deal regarding my medical records as well as context around the information contained in them. Due to this he was able to foresee some of the potential difficulties that may have popped up; with the defendant as well as with my complicated background and the multiple challenges brought along with that. Alistair got my case after my previous solicitor went bust throughout the time of the pandemic. He had such a mess to tidy up on top of having the additional effort of dealing with me. I have extremely complex health conditions, both psychiatric and physical, the physical being a combination of pre-existing and accident related injuries. My medical records are on the scale of claiming Everest with a tour guide who may aswel speak a different language. He manoeuvred around these complexities with elegance and ease. At the last stages of the claim, where a settlement was being arranged, the advice was fantastic and the offer was a reasonable amount more than expected. On top of this Alistair said he may be able to get a little extra, not guaranteed but a bonus. This extra was also more than anticipated. And talk about a person going above and beyond; due to deadline requirements he was in the office when he clearly needed to be in bed with some chicken soup. This gentleman made the process as smooth as possible and took additional time and adapted around my Bipolar Disorder. He kept stress to a minimum and was understanding throughout. The compassion and empathy and legal knowledge shown by Alistair Chiswell was a rare occurrence in this day and age and he will be my first call and recommendation for legal requirements.

I had wonderful service from Alastair Chiswell who pursued compensation for a very nasty cycle accident I had in August 2022. It was quite a lengthy process but Alastair's determination and professionalism ensured an excellent result. I would highly recommend Alastair and McHale & Co of course.

Very very thorough and professional with the really important personal and caring touch
We were trying to deal with our mums passing and her estate. The solicitor we had at the time made a complete hash of it, and even lost the will! We moved to McHale & co which was the best decision we have ever made. Our solicitor was Paul Brocklehurst who was very thorough, approachable. Professional and had a good sense of humour, which lifted us when we were feeling down. He listened to our issues and then explained the options at a level we could easily understand. We appointed Paul then and there. To cut a long story short, he applied for and got a grant of administration as the previous solicitors had lost will. Paul paid all creditors so we could then acted on mums wishes and her estate was closed. All throughout the process Paul kept us up to date which was brilliant. I can’t recommend McHale & Co highly enough and especially Paul. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Thank you Paul.
