Contract Dispute

We instructed Stephen McArdle in the Commercial Litigation team to represent us in a contractual dispute. They dealt with the other side effectively and managed to recover compensation for us as a result of a breach of contract. Jacob has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He supported and represented our business professionally and diligently at every stage of the process. He was driven to get the deal over the line, and brought real creativity to his thinking and approach in completing both the APA and share agreement we needed. He was consistently open and transparent about his time and any additional fees, which made the whole experience as frictionless as possible. Commercial Dispute Litigation

When faced with a complicated High Court claim / counter claim litigation we turned to Forbes. We were new to this situation and to be honest very worried about it. Paul's calm and unflappable style is just what we needed to keep us focussed on getting a good outcome. Paul guided us through the various stages right up to and including mediation where the matter was resolved to our satisfaction. Paul was very client focussed and when the going got tough he maintains a dogged determination to keep us moving forward. Paul kept us on track to resolve the matter ASAP without the risk and stress of a court case. You don't realise the toll legal proceedings can take on you until wake up one morning and they have gone away. My company had some problems getting paid off of a client for some subcontracting works done at Christmas time. I spoke with Michael Swan at Forbes on the phone and after a small fee he had written up the legal document to ensure the client paid within a set time frame… the letter never even made the mail box. 4 and a half hours later they had settled the invoice in full on the same day after nearly 4 months of myself requesting payment. 100% recommend if you are having problems with payments then Michael is the man to speak too. What an amazing results after being owed thousands for nearly 4 months.

Sale and purchase of property

From the day we engaged with the conveyancing team at Forbes we knew we were in safe hands. Reception staff were always so helpful and extremely cheerful which was a bonus when things got a little stressful! The conveyancing team were almost always contactable (time of year holidays left some short staffing) but we accepted that and a quick email to all the team soon resulted in a response. We are most grateful for the team’s professionalism and pragmatic approach in particular regarding the sale of our property which at times was hindered by agencies outside of our control. Jennifer dealt with this amazingly and reassured us regularly. Contracts and completion were achieved without issue and our requests for dates were fulfilled. Our only suggestion for full client satisfaction would be timely updates on the Forbes app it looked like a great system which keeps buyers and sellers updated and the progress bar is a reassuring sign that things are moving forward (this was a little slow to be updated and near completion was not updated at all ). We highly recommend Forbes Solicitors - thank you

Simply exemplary I recently engaged Forbes Solicitors Manchester and I was represented by a Miss Niamh Monaghan. With legal matters, inevitably come endless questions and/or concerns. My questions were met directly and accompanied by welcome advice and information and my concerns were swiftly put rest. I found Miss Monaghan to be meticulous in her work, professional, competent and diligent yet being understanding ,patient and empathetic whilst remaining most personable and affable. John Lambe acted for me in resolving a dispute with my late Father's estate. He took the time to understand the circumstances under which my Father signed the Will. At all times he was friendly, supportive and pragmatic. He has a vast knowledge of contentious probate, access to an exceptional Barrister, and together they were able to help me understand the complexities of the laws relating to my case.
