Multiple threats sent by my ex-partners solicitor working at Bassets. Issue is, 1 threat was to force me to agree to a holiday tricking me saying it was in 'her time' so I would agree. When in fact half of the holiday was in school time and led to my child having unauthorised absence. Then multiple other threats where this solicitor has just believed what my ex-partner has said and threatened me with 'further action'. Again, issue is she should have asked for proof of what my ex was saying instead of just sending threats. Unfortunately for this solicitor, my ex made it all up which unfortunately for them, I have proof of the lies. Very unprofessional and concerning for a solicitor (who isnt even representing me) to send threats and strongly worded letters that she is unable back. Causing an unnecessary amount of personal stress and unnecessary confrontation. Complaint has been lodged but no doubt will be protected by her company. Expect a lot more professionalism and respect from a solicitor, even if they are not representing you. Think very carefully before picking this organisation. She couldn't even get the paperwork in court correct calling me the 'applicant', when in fact I am the 'respondant'. Also repeatedly phoning me by mistake when my ex gave them my personal details before our court dates. Completely shocking for a solicitor and her organisation.
We sold one of our residential properties through Bassetts. We mainly dealt with Tracy on Stephanie Charlesworth’s team. Absolutely brilliant, never needed to request an update at any stage. Totally on the ball . . And at a very competitive fee. What settle for second best?
