I went to this solicitors as they had good reviews! Worst mistake of my life. I started using them in May of this Year and nothing has been done still to this day, yet I have been charged almost £2000.00 for the privilege!
I have recently gone through the process of buying a new home for me and my family I can’t say enough of how great Sarah Needham has been throughout the process Kept me up to date at all times . Always answered any question that I have had for her , and using various solicitors over the years she has been the best by far . What a fantastic experience using Oxley and coward but most of all Sarah Needham Thankyou so much for your service A+
My Aunty left Oxley and Cowards as executors, worst thing she could have done. 30 months down the line and still the beneficiaries have not read anything, however a lot of money from the estate has been used. They put the house on the market as a modern auction! They employed estate agents surveyors and various other people as said it had subsidence . This has taken more than £10,000 out of estate! This was a total waste of time because after 2 years they decided to go for a normal auction ( January this year) it was sold for more than they said . We are now in June still no money received for the beneficiaries. The house has been renovated no sign of any work been done for subsidence and is going back on the market. Yet still not sorted. When you contact then the reply is waiting for different services to sort things. ( 2 1/2 years think things should have been sorted) sometimes you don’t even get a response.

Had the misfortune of using Oxley and Coward to sort out money left to myself and my sister in a will. Awkward and rude to deal with, had to fight to get money released from the estate for a funeral. Ample money in estate to cover it. I felt deliberately took time resolving any issues, all while holding the money in Oxley and Coward account (whilst earning interest for them - which we never saw). My mother helped them with numerous question, to save them work and help them - yet where rude and impatient with her. When a face to face meeting was requested with the person dealing with will, they where suddenly "unavailable " when I arrived and a different person had to take the meeting, who knew very little. So a waste of time. The associate solicitors who was dealing with the case rang one of the executors of the will (who happened to be a long time family friend) to complain about me ! And tried the female I'm doing my best sob story. Same associate Solicitor from Oxley and Coward made a mistake with a tax issue which meant had to hold back a sizeable amount for 5 years, yet never received an apology, or an acknowledgement of their mistake. Would not recommend Oxley and Coward

Outstanding service from start to finish by this company. We used Oxley and Coward for buying our first home as this is who our mortgage advisor uses- it was as stress free as buying a house could possibly be. The lady I was dealing with directly was Sarah and she answered every single worry and question we had through the process, responds quickly and guided us so brilliantly to the very end. Cannot fault one bit and would 100% recommend to anyone from our personal experience.

I had a very difficult and complex case and Ms Cusworth went above and beyond to help me. She was incredible and her proffessional, knowledgeable approach helped me achieve the best out come possible. She persevered under incredibly stressful circumstances, providing objective and helpful advice at all times. The whole ethos of the company and their approach was without doubt incredible. Without the support of Amy and the company my life would have been very different. I cannot thank her enough for everything she has done and would recommend her for any dispute resolution.

As first time buyers the process was stressful enough without the added stress of this firm. Most of the time there was no communication between myself and the solicitor as when we tried calling they were always busy and never called back, despite everytime me and my partner were assured a call back from either the receptionist or assistant. We filed a formal complaint after the house eventually went through thanks to the seller and his solicitors saying they were ready to pull out if they didn't get answers. When we filed our complaint they responded by taking no accountability and blaming ourselves, our mortgage advisor, the estate agents and the sellers solicitors for all the delays. 100% would not recommend, if this is how they treat all their customers im surprised they are still in business. Just a complete joke of a firm.

I would put 0 stars if I could. After taking a recommendation off of our mortgage advisor. Never again. After 7 months of tears, stress, arguments and sleepless nights which affected work and home life. We were open minded about the time it would take to buy our first house but the lack of support and communication was shocking. Even after getting others involved we were still getting no answers or answers in Jargon which we could not decipher (Then they never answered to explain). I would not wish this service on anyone. Find a solicitor firm which will communicate honestly and support you through what is already a stressful time.
