I was lucky to pick Accident Solicitors Direct based on the reviews they had, I cannot thank them enough for the amazing service and help they have given me. Chris Chappell came out to my house to see me when I came home from hospital, he even went to the site of the accident to take photos too. Chris kept me informed all the way through the process with calls, emails and post. We went to court and won the case, there was then an appeal which took a year to resolve, but in the end Chris and his team came through for me. I wish to thank you all for such a great service. My requirements of a firm of solicitors are simple: fast and effective. That requires specific expertise in the relevant area of law and a strong focus on customer care. That is exactly what Major Trauma Lawyers (MTL) provided. I was involved in a collision with another car. My insurers instructed another firm of solicitors on behalf of myself and my two passengers. Our injuries were broadly comparable. One passenger received a medical assessment and report within a few months. After that, he heard nothing further for several months, with no responses to phone or email queries, and became concerned. Eventually he received an offer, which he accepted, although I considered the amount to be derisory. The second passenger received only occasional updates and had five or six different claims handlers over nearly four years. She was referred to medical expert witnesses in different cities, involving a full‑day round trip each time. On one occasion she arrived to find the appointment had been cancelled by the solicitors for no apparent reason and without any notice to her. On another, she was sent to the wrong hospital. She has now received a payment, but it is still subject to confirmation by the court. By contrast, virtually the only communication I received from the appointed solicitors was a request for my full medical history. I provided that by post using recorded delivery, then heard nothing. Many months later they requested it again. I sent a second copy, and again received no response or update for months. Eventually I sent a recorded‑delivery letter addressed to their complaints department. After six weeks they responded to say a new claims handler had been assigned to the case, but nothing really changed. After a few more months I lost patience and decided to end their instruction, instead appointing MTL on a no win, no fee basis. What a contrast. My named contact at MTL kept me regularly updated and responded to queries promptly, usually the same day and often within an hour. He achieved a financial settlement substantially higher than that received by either of the other passengers, even after deducting MTL’s success fee. My second passenger remains with the original solicitors and, after almost four years, her case is still not concluded.

I cant recommend this company enough! they are a very professional firm . After I came out of the Intensive care unit I contacted them and Ralph pretty much came to visit me straight away in the hospital. Everything these days has waiting times. But no not here my case was dealt with straight away. This firm got the ball rolling. Ralph was amazing like I said firstly visited me in the hospital and stayed in touch throughout . Then went on to visiting me at home at every appointment until I was well enough to go and visit him in his office. He arranged appointments with specialists and also CBT therapy which were a fantastic help to me in my recovery. Communication was second to none, always keeping me up to date both via phone and email with how my no fee claim was progressing. The outcome for me was my claim was resolved successfully.

Well obviously I'd prefer not to have had one accident never mind two. I'd rather not NEED an accident solicitor but twice in a short period? Anyway Chris sorted one problem for me very effectively so I asked him to take over an RTA case that seemed to be going nowhere. My motor insurers had appointed a large firm of solicitors in Liverpool to handle the case. After 2 years they had done almost nothing, not even arranged a medical and the response to phone calls (voicemail) or emails, was usually "someone will call back", they didn't - the best I got was "the case handler has left the company, we are appointing a replacement". Eventually I sent a recorded delivery letter to the complaints department, even that didn't elicit a timely response but after a few weeks someone did call to tell me they'd appointed another replacement case-handler. I aslo tried complaining to the insurer as it was they who had sold me the add-on "legal cover" on the insurance policy. Waste of time, all they did was pass my complaint on to the Liverpool solicitors. Chris was most helpful, communications were always prompt and clear and the case is now successfully concluded. One of the others in the car had worse injuries and stayed with the original solicitors. She has been quoted a court date in 6 months time, 4 years after the RTA. She has been advised of a target compensation figure of about 70% of what Chris has achieved even after deduction of his fees. In the past I'd been a little wary of "no win, no fee" solicitors, I had thought surely the fee reduces the compensation received. Wrong, rather the opposite, the greater the compensation achieved the higher their payment.

I was attacked by a dangerous dog. Fortunately, I was able to locate the owner’s address and had solid proof of the attack. Christopher Chappell at ASD handled the situation exceptionally well, advancing the case to a successful resolution despite the other party’s unwillingness to cooperate. Chris kept me fully informed throughout the process, and I cannot recommend him and ASD highly enough.

Would not recommend this solicitor due to excessive time waiting and providing misleading information like "we sent you an email" but they didn't and then you call them about it after several weeks or they call you and ask why you didn't respond and suddenly they can send it out and it arrives in seconds, they did the claim for us at the end but it's could be a lot faster and smoother if they would have better communication with customers and not lie about emails when they don't even send them out.
