    The first consolation was really good and informative, the signing of the documents was also good but after that when I call, the phone was never answered after finally getting through after a few dayI was promised a call back but that never happened, I am still waiting.

    Review of will

    I had booked to rewrite my will, separating from my partner I just wished to remove him from the revised will. Not much of a change. It cost approx 500 when I paid, they did not include the Vat so the initial quote was around £400. Never met the solicitor. A paralegal dealt with the instruction of the rewrite. When I went to sign the documents a few weeks later, the paralegal told me she didn’t know what we spoke of, she wasn’t sure of what I was asking so then I had to wait an hour whilst she put the document together upstairs. To cap that the staff sent me someone else bill. Was quite annoyed to have to pay so much money when so little needed to be changed to the original document. I know solicitors charge for their expertise and time but I wasn’t impressed as in the first meeting, with travel costs, parking and my time, the information I passed over and agreed too wasn’t passed on correctly so I had to explain all over again when I went back.

      We honestly can’t thank Jessica enough for all her help with the purchase of our house. From the very beginning, she has been fantastic. Buying a house can be a stressful process, with lots of questions and things to deal with, but Jessica has always been there to help, explain things clearly and put our minds at ease. She has been incredibly approachable, patient and professional throughout, and nothing has ever felt like too much trouble. Whenever we’ve needed an update or had a question, she has been quick to respond and always made us feel like we were in safe hands. My only complaintswould be that we asked for more information about potential surface water flooding and received no update and we queried the fact that Bennett Homes quoted 2 figures for permissions for work in different documents.

We are sorry that you felt there was insufficient follow-up regarding the surface water flooding enquiry. We did report to you the information available to us during the transaction, but we appreciate that you would have liked further updates on this point. We also understand your concern regarding the differing figures quoted by Bennett Homes for consent fees. We understand that Bennett Homes only recently increased their fee for this from £185.00 plus VAT to £205.00 plus VAT. Thank you again for your comments.
