Top 10 of 1,643 law firms for Contact Agreements, Child Law

Law firms ranked by client reviews

This area covers arrangements for a child’s contact with each parent or carer, including formal orders and informal agreements about when and how often contact happens. In England, a solicitor helps with applying for or varying a Child Arrangements Order under the Children Act 1989, drafting and negotiating a contact schedule, and representing or guiding clients through mediation or court hearings. They also advise on safeguarding concerns, proof of enforcement or breaches, and coordinating with Cafcass or local authorities when needed.

Where a solicitor protects your position

The solicitor helps secure a clear timetable for contact, specify methods and locations for visits, and address changes in circumstances (school, work, relocation). If the other parent differs, the solicitor may prepare evidence and argue for the proposed contact plan in court, with time-bound steps and potential enforcement mechanisms if orders are breached.

Kayleigh Bell

Tagged solicitor Kayleigh Bell

Kayleigh is a well informed children’s lawyer. She was particular and exacting in her approach to resolving my children’s matters throughout my divorce. I appreciated that Kayleigh took a mature problem solving approach as opposed to playing a ‘ for tat’ game that doesn’t benefit anyone. It was unfortunate that a Children’s agreement could not be reached after a long and complicated process despite Kayleigh giving her best. Note: I would recommend anyone facing an apathetic or unyielding opposition to take their matter straight to court to avoid a drawn out process with no outcome.
