This area covers how a deceased person’s assets are planned for and distributed, including wills, trusts, and how estates are administered after death. It also covers preparing for death through legacy planning and handling how bequests are allocated to beneficiaries, taxes, and official probate processes. A solicitor in this field drafts wills, sets up trusts, reviews executory provisions, and guides executors through probate, estate administration, and settlements with beneficiaries and creditors. These matters can shape family wealth and reduce future disputes.
