Trial Experience covers the practical preparation and conduct of trials in England and Wales courts, including how a solicitor builds and presents a case at trial, manages witnesses, handles evidence bundles, and responds to adverse submissions. A solicitor practising in this area organises pre-trial steps, advises on admissible evidence, and coordinates advocates, clients, and experts to ensure a coherent, trial-ready strategy. It also involves handling interim applications and trial-specific procedural requirements as the matter proceeds.
“I have used Poole Alcock on several different legal matters and no matter what the issue they have always been friendly, knowledgable and extremely professional.”

“I fell in love with my dream home but I later found out was on an unfair lease.
I was under no illusion that the sale of this property was going to be a long and bumpy road. Fortunately, myself and the seller had started communicating.
I engage the services of Jeffery Gilbert as my conveyancing solicitor.
Jeffery Gilbert acted for me in a way that was above and beyond what could ever have been expected from a conveyancing solicitor.
He understood that this was my dream home and my journey to get to this point was so important to him that he approached this with such compassion because he was working for a person not a sale.
I think that’s what sets him apart from any other solicitor who I have dealt with.
Jeffery saw the person, my dream and how much this meant to me and my family. When a solicitor understands the significance of what a house means, ie a home, there is a difference in their approach.
I don’t know anybody who works the hours that this man works, I don’t know any solicitor who is as swift to respond to messages and phone calls and fights for his clients.
Jeffery did not allow my overwhelming desire to own the property to compromise the legal process. Where I was desperate to cut corners, he insured every attention to detail was covered so that the sale went through.
When we finally completed, the emotion and the relief was shared with Jeffery.
But this is the thing that I found the most amusing-when I was talking with the seller, he said the next time he moves house, he is having Jeffery Gilbert as his conveyancing solicitor.
Thank you Jeffery, for providing our dream home-five days before Christmas and making a very difficult sale, attainable.”

“I'm an estate agent, and I therefore deal with countless solicitors who are invariably below-par. What a breath of fresh air the team at Elite Law are! Sonia Balrai has just pushed through one of the most difficult transactions that I've been involved with for many years; without her tenacity, responsiveness, hard work and determination the chain would have certainly collapsed. If you're looking for a conveyancing solicitor, you should look no further; this team are at the top of their game.”
“We were very happy with the service Penny Stevens-White provided, the only feedback I would add is that where specialism / advice was required from other departments in DG, that it would be helpful to be able to involve them in discussions early on. As an example, our sale needed a transfer of the freehold from our neighbour's to the new buyer, a process which I knew would be delayed due to the their lack of engagement in this matter, so it would have been helpful to address this with litigation's involvement from early onset to understand impact and options. It would have saved a few week's of stress and last minute phone calls to see what we could do to resolve.”

“Working with Kate Matthews at Downs Solicitors has been an exceptional experience. Kate was instrumental in our litigation against some of the UK’s largest corporate entities, including NatWest and Amazon. Throughout these high-pressure disputes, she provided expert guidance while ensuring every milestone remained strictly on schedule. Kate has a rare talent for distilling complex legal jargon into clear, actionable strategy, which was the catalyst for reaching mediation and successful settlements quickly. Her commercial acumen and proactive communication turned a potentially overwhelming process into a manageable, successful outcome. We cannot recommend Kate and the Downs team highly enough.”

“I contacted 41 solicitors with no great response at all. Telling them my story. I received a call back from Alpa. Alpa took on my case with already a heavy workload which included regular attendance to courts. Alpa straight away emailed the parties to understanding current positions and ways forward. Alpa supports was simply amazing from get go. Thank you so much Alpa from the moment you called me back till date. I look forward to your ongoing support to achieve the best possible outcome. Your experience and understanding gave me so much reassurance on what possibilities I face. Thank you”

“Lease extension - The phrase “due diligence” is often loosely used however, in my opinion, this phrase was created to uniquely describe Neelam Trikha of Amphlett Lissimore. This lady is an absolute “rotweiller” for detail and made the process of extending a lease on a property painless and affordable, considering the unexpected extensive work involved. This lady will not leave a stone unturned and proved so locating essential missing paperwork that had been buried in archives for over 30 years. Her attention to detail in reviewing a rather antiquated original lease, prior to the extension application, was breathtaking. There were no wasteful expensive emails, just a telephone call, in plain simple language to explain any progress and plans.
If you want something done with confidence and ultimately finely tuned results, Neelam should be your first port of call.”
