Outstanding service taking the pain out of legal matters

Although not being a legal professional I do have some experience of contracts. I created my own Pre Nuptial Agreement from using a template on the internet, which I sent to Elite Law with the objective of review, feedback and formal advice.

When requesting quotes from various solicitors, I typically got a standard response that painted a 'worst-case' picture and a figure to match. Elite Law responded to me extremely quickly with a personal email that gave me confidence they had understood my requirements, the scope of work and had given me an appropriate estimated cost.

I was given an estimate between two figures, or given an option of a fixed cost which was somewhere in between. I went for the fixed cost option, and for me it helped reduce my stress to know every time I sent them an email I wasn't going to be charged a fortune.

The onboarding process was all electronic, easy and quick. I downloaded an app to my iPhone, allowing me to upload all my identification documents so my file could be opened.

The thing that made them different for me was Brian Fraser gave me very detailed phone advice/emails that as a client I could understand. He set my expectations around next steps which he then delivered against, or if required would then reset them as needed. It was such a refreshing experience NOT to be leaving endless messages for a call back like I have in the past with other solicitors.

I couldn't recommend Brian and Elite Law enough and would happily use them again in the future.

Brian Fraser - highly recommended.

I instructed Brian Fraser to act for me during my divorce proceedings after over 3 years, 5 different lawyers and several thousand pounds paid to a big name London firm. I had not needed to use a lawyer before in this way so didn’t really know if the service I was getting was any good. I just knew that divorces were traditionally difficult situations to navigate. As time went on it was clear that their less than empathetic approach and tone of their correspondence was doing nothing to progress a settlement. It was clear that I was just another case and without a huge budget to try and focus their efforts I was at a loss.

Thankfully, a friend recommended that I speak to Brian and I am so glad that I did. I was immediately impressed at the first meeting when Brian demonstrated an understanding of the main issues and formulated a pragmatic plan to reach a settlement. The agreed rates were cheaper than I had been previously paying. Brian assured me that mine was a simple case to deal with and was confident that an agreement could be reached within a matter of weeks. Given my previous experience I was not convinced if I’m honest but Brian’s refreshing approach and the fact he had been personally recommended gave me some hope.

Brian’s communication with me was straightforward and to the point, focusing on the matters at hand and explaining my options in layman's terms. Remarkably, in 2 months an agreement for financial settlement was reached with the decree absolute being issued by the court 3 months later in January 2024.

I cannot thank Brian enough for the work that he put into my case and for the approach that he took. If you are about to instruct or already in the process and think that your current lawyer could be doing more to progress your divorce, I have no hesitation in recommending Brian to you for a first class service.

Lovely & Incredibly Helpful.

I was given Megs name when my husband sadly died, never the best start to meet your new solicitor, but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Meg was, and is brilliant.
She was so helpful and very kind, something you need when your clients head is all over the place and its the first time that you have had to deal with something this daunting.
I am certain that there are many solicitors out there that are great, but I know that my family and I felt and indeed knew that we were in safe hands.
We will continue to ask Meg to help in any further dealings as there is obviously no one better in our minds.

Make sure you have your mortgage product before instructing

This solicitor was a recommended solicitor by The developer that wanted me to use. Although Guy was very helpful to begin with, but just be aware to have your mortgage product offer before instructing them, In case your mortgage lender does not have them in the lenders panel. I had to switch lender, and unfortunately elite law were not in their panel, so I have to change solicitor. But because it’s in their small print they will make you pay the Abortive fee which is more than what you would pay if you were to go through with them. You would think they want to keep you as future client, and out of Goodwill just charge you the searches fee But they do not care at all. And make sure you ask for all the help before you close the case, as they are not going to help you if you need anything else later.
Basically make sure you have your mortgage offer before instructing them Otherwise, you lose out big time! Ive lost about £5k due to this unfortunate situation.

Guy and his team provide a fantastically efficient service. As anyone, who has sold or purchased a property knows, having a solicitor who gets things done quickly and is responsive, massively increases the probability of the transaction successfully completing and makes your life a whole lot easier - this is money very well spent. Highly recommended.

Dilpesh & Karen gave us great service in conveyancing in a fairly priced contract. We would recommend to family and friends this Hitchin branch & have no criticism of them whatsoever. 5 stars are not easy in our book!

We had quotes for conveyancing from various solicitors & choose the Hitchin branch of Elite Law Solicitors, they were not the cheapest but probably the best. Karen and Dilpesh treated us very well & always chased the slower buyers solicitors & made the whole transaction a lot quicker. We would recommend them 100%.
