Where a solicitor protects your position

Decisions can end or reduce vital income, create backdated payment risks, or trigger sanctions. A solicitor protects the client’s position by ensuring timely, properly prepared claims and appeals, presenting evidence to decision-makers, and pursuing guardianship or discretionary support where needed. I approached Farley Dwek for help in securing Continuing Health Care Funding for my husband who has advanced dementia. My first conversation with the solicitor was friendly and supportive , I was directed to extremely helpful free literature on their sister website and information on the services they offer and prices were emailed to me as well as a link to the free advice. No pressure was put on me to secure their services. Having been told by various health professionals that CHCF for dementia is particularly hard to secure and read the free information about the assessment process to secure funding I decided I wanted the additional support of a nurse to advocate for my husband. This is one of the services offered by FD . One of their nurse was appointed ted to help us. She had vast experience of the CHCF system and had previously worked as an assessing nurse for the NHS. The weekend before the scheduled assessment the nurse spent two hours taking me through a mock assessment and gathering as much information as she could about my husband. I was reassured and was able to confidently explain our case at the actual meeting with the advocate nurse beside me. She was invaluable dipping into the conversation occasionally to clarify what was the understanding of the meeting on a particular point, or challenging aspects of care and ensuring correct protocol was followed. The outcome my husband was awarded CHCF and most of the fees already paid were recovered. Everyone I talked with at the firm were caring , understanding , knowledgeable and professional. Every promise to get in touch, get back with information was kept in a timely and efficient manner. Superb service.
