I had Tahir represent me in court, and unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the experience. Throughout the process, I did not find him particularly reassuring or supportive. I felt that he showed little interest in my circumstances, and communication was poor. I found him difficult to contact, and I felt that I had to take the initiative to get updates about my own case. During the court proceedings, I was disappointed that several points I had previously raised with him were not mentioned. I also recall him making a statement along the lines of "he deserves punishment", which I found particularly disheartening to hear from someone representing me. The sentence I received was approximately double what I had anticipated based on our discussions. When I raised my concerns, his response was essentially that it was difficult to predict how a judge would approach sentencing. While I understand that sentencing decisions ultimately rest with the court, I was disappointed with the advice, communication and overall representation I received. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend his services, including to those eligible for legal aid. I believe clients facing serious legal proceedings deserve clear communication, careful preparation and a solicitor who makes them feel that their concerns have been properly considered.
