Karen joined the firm as a trainee in 2006 and qualified as a solicitor in 2008. Karen qualified into the corporate/commercial departments and worked within this field for 2 years, she then made a permanent move into property department in 2011 and was instrumental in the growth of the property department in the firm’s Isle of Wight office following its opening at this time. Since 2014, Karen has specialised in New Build transactions working with a number of local and national house builders. Karen has a sound understanding of the help-to-buy scheme, including redeeming and staircasing and since 2016 Karens heads up the new build team. She specialices in all aspects of buying and selling properties, including new build property transactions, shared ownership and help-to-buy. Karen supervises members of the team . Areas of expertise include Buying and selling properties New build Remortgages Leasehold Shared ownership Transfers of equity Help to buy Professional memberships The Law Society Hampshire Incorporated Law Society (HILS) And in her spare time Karen enjoys cooking and often tries out new things in the kitchen.     Excellent experience

    We used Karen for our new build purchase and the team went above and beyond to get us in to our new house. We had a really tight timeline to work towards and while they were realistic with us regarding this they were able to meet the deadline and we were so grateful for that.

    Karen is the best!

    We used Karen for our first home purchase in 2018 of our new build and she was extremely good. We recently sold that new build property and without a doubt instructed Karen again. Karen responds so quickly and with all of the information you need to know and is accessible if you have any questions! Karen is extremely knowledgeable in general but especially with the new builds. We instructed Karen on our most recent purchase also, it was an extremely complex transaction due to a small independent development of new build homes and Karen made sure there was nothing left unturned or not looked at. Karen has gone over and beyond helping us with all of our three transactions now but the most recent purchase you could not fault Karen at all, Karen has lots of patience and is very aware of her clients timescales and needs. Karen has protected us and offered honest and clear advice at every step of the way. I would recommend Karen King absolutely and will use Karen again in the future. Thank you to Karen.
