Awful

I have recently had the unfortunate experiences of using Curtiswhitfordcrocker Tavistock for my house move. I did not feel that they had a good understanding of my needs. They could not even get the financial figures correct, I had to inform them 4 times that they were wrong, and, on each occasion, they still got them wrong. The firm promise you that they are dealing with your move but do-nothing time after time. When I finally complained to a senior partner all he could do was blame everybody else, in my view he really did not have a grip on his business. I advise anyone that is thinking of using this company not too.

Constant Mess....

Originally, effectively, serviced by "Ann Pointer Solicitors", when more work was required it was found that they had been taken over by CWC. I chose to continue to work with the same specific solicitor. Work commenced, slowly, and a bundle of documents were dropped off as requested. Days later I discovered that The specific solicitor was no longer working with CWC. Her duties were taken over by a Mr . Mr clearly didn't have the same familiarity with the case and seemed to spend his time split between two offices. The work took a very long time but was eventually completed although with hindsight there were a few questions. The work was being paid for by a third party so I needed an invoice which I had to difficulty in getting, but did finally arrive. At this point I expected my document pack back, but CWC were unable to return it. The pack contained numerous documents, some of potential consequence. The pack wasn't returned so I didn't pay the invoice. Nothing happened. No requests or demands for payment and no documents. I considered this lack of contact to be an acknowledgement of responsibility so forgot about the matter. 2 years later I get a demand for payment. No documents, no apology, no concilliation, nothing. My position was clearly stated - produce the documents and I will pay immediately. It got heated. Some how, I had to pay, in order to get them to look for my documents, documents that they had declared lost and still no concilliation except to be expected to accept someones word that they would "look". I paid, but I am still waiting for the documents.....The lack of understanding and reasonable behaviour could never allow me to recommend this company. When your customer is "wronged", it is inappropriate to treat them without a contrition.

Absolutely awful....dont bother

My purchaser of my property used Curtis Whiteford Crocker in particular Kerry Radmore. Absolutely awful service, lied to estate agents, slow, not responding back to calls or emails. Actually delayed the whole process completely and almost ended up making the chain collapse due to length of time taken. Do not use this solicitor unless you want to wait for months and months or be spoken to rudely. Almost lost my dream house because of the incompetency of 1 person. I would put zero stars if i could

Louise Dickinson helped win a life-saving case.

I applied for an Depend Relative (ADR) visa for my disabled, bed-bound father, who was not receiving adequate care in his home country in India. I followed all the necessary steps and criteria as per UKBA law with the guidance of my solicitor, Louise Dickinson. However, the UK home office held onto the application for six months before ultimately refusing it. Despite reaching out to local councillors, the decision remained unchanged. I was disheartened, but my skilled and experienced solicitor, Louise Dickinson, encouraged me to continue fighting and we filed the case to the tribunal court. Although the home office confirmed their interest in dragging this case to a hearing, they did not show up on the day. A few weeks later, the judge declared the case in our favor.

"I firmly believe that my successful outcome was only possible due to the alignment of my papers, statements, and pieces of evidence and along with the skilled guidance provided by my solicitor from day 1. During the hearing, I vividly recall how my solicitor represented me by delivering a clear and concise opening statement. As a result, I did not receive any uncomfortable questions from the Judge and the case was resolved in just a couple of weeks.

I confidently recommend Louise Dickinson, an experienced and dedicated immigration solicitor. She is skilled, knowledgeable, polite and a great communicator.

Jode was a really nice person and very helpful. He put me at ease. I appreciate that he is a solicitor but I felt confident to talk to him about what I needed and wanted and he put my mind at ease. He was very professional and friendly at the same time.

Everything went extremely well with no problems . If I needed to ask anything Laura or Mina responded very promptly . They communicated with Lisa Marie who was dealing with the rest of my mother’s Estate making it less stressful for us to deal with . Very emotional times for me selling the family home which I grew up in after both parents recently passing made easier by their professional manner

Didn't have a great experience with conveyancing (Just buying). Mainly down to poor comms, required constant chasing, by myself, the vendors solicitor and the Estate Agent - which must itself increase the work load for themselves and stress for all parties. I appreciate this is a busy time, but things were stalling for no aparrant reason (I had taken the file on from a previous buyer, on the property which fell through on week of exchange, so everything should have been in place, apart from mortgage draw down, name changes and fraud checks). Its' not like the service was any cheaper than other local firms. Only responded to two emails of multiple that was sent, although it was appreciated they communicated they recieved the deposit. Spelt my name incorrectly on the contract despite me picking this up on the draft. Asked me when I would like to complete, I said Friday (7 days time), was then notified on the following Wednesday there would not be enough time for drawdown - clearly not, but had it been actioned even on the following Monday or Tuesday, mortgage funds would have been available. I have opted for another local firm, to sell a property subsequently, and so far communications have been night and day better. I hope my experience was a one off.

Nothing but amazing service every time. I have recommended to many. Had numerous property transactions completed by the team including Chloe, who has taken on a few of mine and still continues to do so. Her service is always excellent. Tony provided Legal Advice last minute, outside of working hours to ensure a transaction made the deadline. I have also dealt with Karen and Claire in the past who have also carried out property purchases for me. Lauren is always on hand to provide answers to questions and keep us up to date. Highly recommend .
