Selling a listed cottage in a conservation area: get good legal advice
Elizabeth White, Nantes Solicitors in Dorchester, acted for me in the sale of my cottage in Bere Regis and I knew there were likely to be lots of hurdles in front of us to get the cottage sold. The cottage is a listed building and it is in a conservation area.. It also has cob walls with a thatch roof. So there were a lot of potential pitfalls. Elizabeth rose to the challenge and worked with our agents, Domus, to deal with, and clear, every hurdle in our path and get the property sold. I would thoroughly recommend Elizabeth and her firm, Nantes, to other property owners who want the best possible advice and support when they come to sell their own properties in Dorset.

Very pleased with conveyancing service
We were new to Nantes but so happy we chose them and received an excellent service from Cherise and the team for our house purchase in Weymouth. Very efficient, thorough and nothing was too much trouble. Needed a quick completion and they did everything to make it happens so very pleased. Would highly recommend and will be using them again for any legal needs we have.

One foot in the grave and the other on a bar of soap persuaded my wife and I it was time to think about our wills and nominate somebody to act for us if and when needed. Step forward Ms Rebecca Suthers from Nantes who was happy to visit us at home. Nice lady, very professional and knowledgeable but easy to talk to. Clearly explained the advantages and disadvantages of our various options in an easy to understand way.
