    High standard of legal support

    We were very pleased with the level of support from PCS Legal during our selling and buying a property period last year We had not moved for 37 years and were therefore not familiar with current legal processes PCS Legal carefully took us through the legal forms and processes to be completed Their fees were reasonable and as we were under pressure from our buyers, PCS Legal exchanged contracts on the Friday and completed on the Monday!

    Slow and poor communication

    Extremely slow process, I had to push and push to get closure. Finally on completion there was no final account so I have no detail on disbursements. Very poor

    Frustrating slow at responding queries. Only respond to those in a queue so concerns me that they may not have enough solicitors to deal with queries. Numerous follow ups been told queries have been responded to and aren’t. Latest issue are queries that have been sitting there 6 days told previously they had responded on a call. Went back to estate agent and turns out that they hadn’t even started looking at them, after a call today. Constant apologies , however never seen to get any traction. Got a separate call from their another part of their office asking me about the completion date previously. Wasn’t half way through the process. So I was thrilled that we were done, turned out was given the wrong information again. When I called I was told that was a mistake. At a point of desperation now as every week, month goes by and delay costs me significant amount of money. This wouldn’t be tolerated in any other business.

    Craig Stevenson has been outstanding, he helped before but wasn’t the solistors this time he has been our solicitor for a house purchase. He has been nothing but exceptional in his service. He has worked to an extremely tight deadline. Very honest and solution focused and always given me so many options when faced with awful dilemmas over a house we was insistent on buying that didn’t have building completion certificates. I highly recommend Craig. I’ve used lots of conversing solistors over the last few years but only now cam I say I’ve found one that I would always use again and go out of my way to recommend to others. It has to be Craig. He is senior and the pricing is more for him but what you get in return is a better easier less stress service and you can pay to have a fast track service to you can always speak at easy and have your case looked at quicker as a result of that we moved very fast. He achieved what seemed to be almost impossible and he did it in a way that distressed me some how! He is the best!

      I have used PCS Legal (Team foxtrot) on 4 occasions now and will use them every time! Readily available until early evening to answer questions. Proactive and problem solving!       Power of attorney

      Having gained power of attorney for our parents ourselves my wife and I opted to use a solicitor to do our own as we had work and caring commitments. We opted to visit the Wickford office to fill out the forms by the solicitor to avoid any delays or mistakes. This was June 2023. Two more visits were required as the forms were returned from the power of attorney office incomplete. Another home visit was required for another error. Complaints made and a partial refund but only received power of attorney in January 2026. Power of attorney applications are about as basic as it gets for a solicitor but seemingly even this is too complicated . I wish we had done it ourselves and saved the money. Very poor service .

      Before choosing PCS legal, make sure you are not given Isaac as the case handler. Takes weeks to reply to any messages and takes even longer to sort out any paperwork and also has a tonne of hidden costs which were only surfaced at the very end. Avoid at all costs.

      My experience with this conveyancing service was disappointing. Although my solicitor did reply to emails, communication was often slow and updates were limited. I frequently had to chase for progress, and the estate agent also had to follow up several times. I provided my identification documents and bank statements at the beginning of the transaction in February. However, additional source of funds checks and requests for further bank statements were only raised several months later, which caused unnecessary delays. I believe these checks should have been carried out much earlier in the process. Also, it spent a very long time to check. Buying a property is a significant commitment, and I expected more proactive case management and better communication. While the transaction did progress eventually, the overall experience was more stressful than it needed to be.

      Shocking service, never reply to emails or calls. Endless delays and confusion. No single point of contact, everything handled by a team. Have delayed house sale by about 3 months due to their incompetence. Avoid if you want to save yourself a lot of hassle and stress.
