They supported, advised and guided me through the small courts claim process, keeping me updated regularly throughout the very long process. Highly recommended. I had a car accident and was put in touch with Jackson Boyd as I had injuries that required physiotherapy and a fairly long recovery period. They were very professional, courteous and efficient, especially Craig McCann. They secured a fair settlement on my behalf.

When you think of lawyers and solicitors you think of scary people or it’s very serious and worrying…from the first phone-call with Cheryl i remember I was terrified sitting in my hire car. I was tearful and scared after a horrible car accident. Cheryl went above and beyond and stayed on the phone talking to me and supported me to try drive for the first time after the accident. She was like a little therapist on the phone with positive encouragement and kindness to push forward. That was above and beyond and the kindness and support from then was amazing. Everything was explained really well from start to finish. The support post accident and ensuring I had the best five star care and treatment. Cheryl is a fantastic at her job and goes above and beyond. She explains things very clearly and nothing was too much hassle. Carly also helped on my case and was a breath of fresh air, they both have made the most horrible experience with my car accident smooth and nicer. They had my best interests at heart and gave very informative advice about the next steps and the wording of possible court outcomes. Carly was always happy to help with even the silly questions and give advice with my best interests and explain and always calm my nerves in a scary unknown time. I instructed Jackson Boyd on a no win, no fee basis. My case ran for 3 years with no progress. I was then told it was close to the time bar and asked to pay £2,000 to continue, despite the no win no fee agreement. I felt let down and would not recommend them.

Trying to get a reply from Eve & Gillian was beyond difficult to the point I missed my court date and lost. This may have been because it was through insurance it wasn’t their priority. Cost me tens of thousands! Good luck to anyone using this company

Looking at the 4 & 5 star reviews here, I'm wondering if this really is the same firm that has been representing me over the past 2 yrs! Simply put I would never ever use Jackson Boyd ever again. They have been handling a case on my behalf & were appointed via my home insurance policy. Whether or not this should make any difference is unclear & I would hope not, but they appeared happy enough to take the money from the Insurance provider yet their handling of this case has been nothing short of appalling. I've had three different Solicitor's over two years & when the case finally made it to Court in June 2025 I was awarded compensation plus costs. It then emerged that as the other party was an English based company, the Court Decree from a Scottish Court had to be converted. That was fair enough so it was left to Jackson Boyd to apply for this. Six months on & despite urgent E-Mails from ARC Legal & repeated phone calls from myself, this had never been done. Only after I complained to their complaints manager last week, did he state that they had now applied for the necessary conversion as of that day. During the last 6 months their communication has been woeful & while they have dithered the other party have actually ceased trading as of last month. Absolutely the worst firm of Solicitors I have ever used & would never ever use again. They have done nothing short of jeopardizing my entire case.
