Poor & inaccurate communication, slow progress

So far it’s been a very negative experience with Lyons Bowe. From initial issues recognising our deposit, to false information about the status of our checks (multiple times), timelines have not been stuck to at all. All other parties (mortgage, survey, sellers solicitors, estate agents, us as the buyers) have progressed quickly and everything continues to be held up by Lyons Bowe - being passed between hands and lack of accountability has also been very frustrating

    So far so good

I like the portal as it’s straightforward and easy to use but more importantly the people at LB are helpful, friendly and efficient and l would use them again.

    Completion Solicitor was fantastic

Our initial experience was not good, but once we moved over to the completion team we had a much better experience, this review is solely based on Josie Whiting and not our previous solicitor. Josie was fantastic, communicative and helpful.

Dear Mrs Heath. Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to do so, I also thank you for your time today on the telephone. We are sorry that you did not feel your initial concerns were appropriately dealt with. I hope that the apology provided today was acceptable. I also thank you for the feedback left for Josie, that was very thoughtful Gemma Monday - Head of Property

Slow, admin errors, website account error

I was looking for an efficient local solicitor who I could trust to execute my Will and take the stress from my widow when the time comes. I paid by bank transfer early to show my intentions and speed the process. Days later a trainee solicitor finally called and we arranged for me to visit Frome office to sign the very simple Will. At the office I asked for a copy of my signed original - the office staff said the solicitor will send a copy later in day or next day. A week later - no copy had been sent then automated emails came through asking me to login and pay!

Too many different people dealing with the case and that meant that we didn't get responses and things fell through the gaps. For example the sale price was wrong on the contract weeks after this picked up and should have been corrected

Best solicitors team i've worked with

We started the journey of buying our first home with Lyons Bowe and everything was made so simple and efficient. The process was quite quick and had updates on all steps. Amalia from Completion team worked through our paperwork so quick that we didn't even noticed when contracts were exchanged. All team deserves a pro bono. Thank you everybody in those offices who supported us for the entire process. I gladly recommend Lyons Bowe Solicitors and defenetley they will remain our solicitors choice for next projects aswell.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I've worked with Lyons Bowe Solicitors for the best part of a decade, and they never fail to impress! As Managing Director of Strawberry & Co Estate Agents, I work with solicitors on a daily basis, and I can confidently say that the communication and service provided by Lyons Bowe are second to none. Whether it's phone calls, emails or simply keeping everyone updated throughout the conveyancing process, the team consistently go above and beyond. Having just exchanged contracts on yet another property with them, I wanted to give a special mention to **Emelia Lewis**, whose communication, professionalism and attention to detail throughout have been outstanding. Always approachable, responsive and willing to go that extra mile to keep things moving. In an industry where communication can often be the biggest frustration, Lyons Bowe really do stand out. From both a professional and personal perspective, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone buying or selling a property. A fantastic team, consistently delivering a fantastic service. Keep up the great work!

Maisie at Lyon’s Bowe has been exceptional throughout the entire process. Maisie and the Lyon’s Bowe team have made the whole process slick, streamlined, smooth and hassle free. Their proactive communications and regular updates both via the app and via email has meant that we have been fully informed and able to plan appropriately.
