Avoid at all costs
I have been involved with Gabb and Co for three years now. During that time I was ignored and fobbed off constantly. I have no idea how they have been in business as long as they have, and I imagine they won't be around for much longer. They are arrogant, self centred, over-priced, and greatly out of synch with the modern way of conveyancing. Shoddy work, and feel I could have done it myself.

Conveyancing solicitors, an unnecessary evil...
I have always considered conveyancing solicitors to be overpaid pompous parasites, praying on the fears of house buyers to earn themselves some easy cash. Gabb & Co only served to confirm these thoughts. For the hefty fees they charge, they added no value whatsoever, failing to identify glaring holes in the seller's documentation and taking weeks to provide any kind of response at all. On the day of completion, I didn't even hear from them. To the reader, please consider doing the conveyancing yourself; if you are not happy to do it, please research your solicitor carefully. I did neither and have paid the price.

Good company
I've worked with Gabb for a few years for various aspects of company and commercial law and HR, wills and found them a pleasure to work with. This review isn't just based on a single case (that may or may not have gone as I wanted), but rather ongoing work on multiple issues over a long period and in various fields. I was moved to review as I like the company and was surprised to see negative reviews.

Avoid...Avoid...Avoid at all costs
This firm should be investigated. Service was extremely unprofessional, poor advice and communication is non-existent...until their sky-high bills arrive and their utter disregard to be questioned on their fees. Their approach and complaints process seeks to justify their poor service....utter contempt to clients who genuinely wish to question their approach. I never got to speak to the solicitor dealing with my matter when I called, always made excuses to avoid my calls and never called back, but the firm had the audacity to charge me for my time calling them...deplorable conduct. Their supposed 'experts' are extremely poor in the way they handle mattters. I'd suggest you avoid then at all costs - I'm sure a law student could do a better job than this law firm.
