Emma was the only solicitor to call us and personally introduce herself, which we loved. The best thing we can say about Emma is her constant and transparent communication. As first time buyers she was always fantastic at explaining everything to us very clearly. Any queries raised were answered promptly and any deadlines were met. Emma got us to exchange and completion within our desired time frame, which we weren’t sure would be possible. We can’t speak highly enough of her work ethic and would recommend her to anyone. Absolutely shocking service on the purchase of my home. 0 contact throughout the process, they 'misplaced and could not find' my £21,000 and nothing could be done until they transfered it to the seller of the property, I.e I sent them money, and they lost it. They also on the last possible day of completion of sale through auction conveniently 'forgot' to bill me for an additional £900 and would not hand the keys over until I had paid this. My 'point of contact' if you could even call him that was a person called Jack, and he was less than helpful at every single turn. I would actively avoid this law firm, I have steered anyone and everyone away from here for any reason they need legal services purely on the absolute shambles I had to deal with. And after all of this I spoke to the manager/director of the company, which of course was nothing but a waste of time, I would happily pay over the odds to go anywhere else for my future legal needs.

I can’t recommend Leadenhall Law Group enough, especially Afshan Malik, who helped me and my partner secure a property as first time buyers in a lengthy transaction that lasted 7 months. She did everything in her powers to get everything ready for us as soon as possible, chasing the slow solicitors from the seller’s side with fantastic promptness. Her attention to detail and professionalism helped us identify key factors in the transaction process that would have otherwise been easy to miss. She went above and beyond to get us to exchange and completion, with relentless chasing and outside office-hours communication. Afshan dealt with a lot of challenges on our behalf, but she was always on top of them, finding the right balance between protecting us from the legal intricacies outside our control and keeping us up-to-speed with the important milestones in the process. They also gave us access to the Hoowla platform to understand the timeline and have a transparent record of all the legal documents used in the process. Although there was a tiny issue post completion with regards to the stamp duty payment their accounts team was responsible for, they resolved it and still ensured an overall excellent experience when working with them. By having dealt with the seller’s unprofessional and slow solicitors, it becomes even more apparent how the core qualities of your legal team play a key role in your transaction, which is already a stressful and cumbersome experience when buying a property in the UK. Picking a team so well-established and knowledgeable as Afshan and Leadenhall Law Group are will only save you a lot of hassle and mental load, as they truly are the best to rely on in the process of buying a property.
