Dealing with Harrowells was so easy, they walk you through the process and the forms you need to fill out making the whole process extremely easy and not daunting. Aimee worked so hard on my case and kept me updated through the whole process. The outcome of my case was superb and I won more than I thought due to Aimee’s hard work and tenacity. Louise has been exceptional in providing me with so much advice, support as well as professionalism in providing me with a good outcome. Louise kept me informed on a regular basis and I really did value her advice. When the chips were down and I felt that the situation was not getting very far, Louise kept me informed and gave me realistic thoughts in order to achieve a good outcome. It was very evident of her experience and was aware of financial implications, should the opposite party started to procrastinate. Louise always kept me updated and put a time line on how long we should wait for an outcome from the other legal company. Thank you so much Louise for everything.

My mum and I couldn't be more pleased with the service we have received. My mum wanted a discretionary trust to protect her personal injury settlement as she is vulnerable, in addition to a few other reasons. Ed Taylor got back to our request straight away and as soon as we spoke to him on the phone we immediately felt comfortable, he reassured my mum regarding a few things and then from there we knew it was the right choice to go with Harrowells. Initially we must've spoken to about 40 different firms and that is no exaggeration. They either took too long to reply, quoted us a ridiculously high fixed fee or just came across really difficult in general, it just didn't feel right. Before calling Harrowells I had a look at their reviews and I was a little hesitant as they're not all 4-5 stars, but sometimes you just have to see for yourself, make an enquiry and if it feels good - go with it. We have no complaints whatsoever, Ed advised my mum every step of the way to the best of his expertise but without being forceful, he struck the perfect balance between advising and following her wishes and that is precisely what a great solicitor does. In the end he delivered exactly what she required, we couldn't be more satisfied.

Sue Richardson was my conveyancing solicitor over the past 9 months getting a sale and purchase over the line whilst dealing with one buyer totally disappearing! Instructed Harowells at Haxby when we were selling my sons house. Set out the perameters at the start and the reasons behind the need to get processes moving. They were clear this was no problem......definitely promised a service they simply don't deliver. Poor poor service from the conveyancing team. Lack of communication.......no one ever available when you ring and not responsive to urgent emails. Their delays and lack of communication have caused serious financial pressure which they know about and yet still over promise and very much under deliver. Wouldn't recommend unless you are happy with a very slow process and lack of response. Not a cheap option......don't think l am asking too much for a bit of customer service and to do what they advertise and also say they do. Sadly now......nowhere else to go other than poor reviews so no one else has to struggle like we have with this firm. Specifically the Haxby branch for us and our experience. We are still not completed and now over 6 months in. Just stay away from this firm.

Obviously it can be concerning when a transaction takes time to move through the various processes and this can be because there are several different parties involved. Where this is the case, we do try to ensure our client is kept updated and, for reasons of confidentiality, our information and explanations need to be provided directly to the client. We have used Harrowells several times. Most recently we used them for our house sale and purchase. They are very professional and work incredibly hard. We found them to be personable and easy to understand. Cressie, Natalie and Stephen were all brilliant. We highly recommend!
