Yasmine advised and supported with a change of name via deed poll for my two children. Given the complexity and amount of different documents and one failed attempt to do it myself, I knew I needed advice!

When we had our interview with Peter at your Banbury Road office, he put us at ease from the start and we told him what we wanted and the procedures were very well explained. Our instructions were then entered onto our new wills and sent to us for signatures. Overall our experience was excellent.

Contentious issue re inheritance

My family & myself had the misfortune to find out that our uncle's estate had been claimed under dubious circumstances by someone not entitled to it. Ella & her team worked tirelessly to get my family back the money& although this took almost 6 months the Team were ever vigilant re costs & I was most impressed with the advice recieved.

Exhausting Probate Dispute but comforted by the genuine empathy

not often in life do you come across solicitors who show genuine empathy for your situation when dealing with what was an emotionally exhausting ordeal in securing my rightful inheritance. Despite the untruths in responses and intentional delays caused by the Executors Ella and Claire in return they pushed through to a resolution deciphering the wood from trees.

Where we had lost all hope our faith in humanity was once again restored !

Nothing is ever easy ......................................

Of course ours was not a straightforward sale and having to deal with finance at the same time meant that we were always going to be fighting
As a layperson - I have absolutely no idea why the sale of a "domestic property" should take up to 6-months to complete. Why ??
Paperwork can all be done on line now - why the delays and prevarications?
Surely there is no need for conveyancing to be so stressful - as I have already said our sale was not and never was going to be straightforward - but the delays caused apparently by the legals was beyond belief. Not helped by having a solicitor initially who only worked 4 days a week.
We have another property to sell - hopefully in the not too distant future and I would be delighted if Uzma would act for us again.
Once she took over the conveyancing we felt that she understood everything, dealt easily with any complications and we were so pleased when she pushed to get it over the line when she did.

Tina and Tracy at Hedges Solicitors assisted with the recent purchase of a flat. Friendly, fully professional and they kept me informed along a lengthy process. Very thorough - Tina picked up an assessment that had not been covered previously by other buyers solicitors. My only negative would be the quote for services was less than I finally paid but the process took longer than originally expected which was out of their control. I would not hesitate to use Hedges solicitors again.

This is my third time using Hedges for conveyancing, I exchanged contracts today. Saima is my solicitor, she’s incredible, on the purchase where I’d have bought it if it was falling down, she did her job properly even though all I wanted was the keys! On a more relaxed purchase, she kept me informed, did a thorough job and it was an absolute pleasure. She understood what mattered to me and she managed to somehow do her job whilst I was snapping and stressing and fussing, I can tell she takes pride in her work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. When I bought this time around, I didn’t even bother with other quotes, I’ve found someone I really trust. Thank you Saima and team!
