Laura has been amazing to work with on several matters. Sadly my Mum was diagnosed with incurable cancer and died after a very short illness. Time pressures were high as Mum’s house, our family home for 55yrs, was not registered with Land Registry. Laura’s team expedited this with HMLR and this meant Mum’s Will could be completed in time. Laura also dealt with the conveyancing on the probate sale - and handled a rather tricky buyer’s (cheap online) conveyancer professionally and patiently. Laura was instrumental in driving our agent to reach exchange and completion - when at times we considered pulling out of the sale and delisting. Overall her empathy, care, candid communication and ability to raise a smile, made all the difference. During tough times kindness is invaluable - and Laura is truly kind. Emily acted on the sale of my elderly Aunt's house in Cheltenham where I was acting under a Lasting Power Of Attorney. I do not live in the area and so Emily was dealing with the case remotely from me, but this did not cause any issue as he kept my up to date with the transaction with documents/requirements emailed to me on a timely basis so that I could respond accordingly. Emil's approach allowed the transaction to complete without any issues/delays being seen. Emily thank you for your work.

Remarkable unhelpful and rude when just asking for logics information. Let alone the Will they created that ripped our family apart. Vile group of people.

I would give zero stars if I could. Do not touch for probate. Worse than useless. Zero communication. Never return voicemails or emails. Awful.

We instructed Wright Hassall over two and a half years ago to handle the first registration and transfer of property following my husband’s death. The property is still not registered — let alone transferred. For months, I was told they were “waiting for the Land Registry”. Eventually, they stopped responding altogether. I lodged a formal complaint at the end of June 2025, but to this day, I have received no meaningful update — only vague assurances that the matter is “being looked into.” After speaking directly with HM Land Registry today, I discovered they have been waiting since February 2025 for additional information they requested from Wright Hassall, and the firm is yet to provide it. This level of incompetence and poor communication has caused me immense stress on top of the grief of widowhood. I am unable to sell the property because of their inaction, and their handling of this matter has been nothing short of unacceptable. If you value efficiency, transparency, and professionalism, I would strongly advise caution before instructing this firm.
