Alison and Callum have recently dealt with our first home purchase and have been excellent throughout. We have just exchanged contracts and will be completing shortly. Communication was quite slow and there were a lack of updates, I was updated more by the estate agent at times. Calling the office to speak to my solicitor personally was often tricky and sometimes felt like I was answering the same questions multiple times. However the service its self was easy and response towards the end of sale was efficient and easy/non complicated which I appreciate.

Owing to the three year time limit on reclaiming higher rate SDLT, I ended up only having 6 weeks from accepting an offer to complete. I spoke with HSR right at the start (with Jasmine MacDonald) and asked if they could make the deadline - obviously dependant on the Buyer's solicitors also working to that date. Jasmine advised that it was achievable but we needed to move fast. 5½ weeks later we completed. I cannot recommend HSR, and specifically Jasmine, highly enough. She responded quickly to all my emails, gave me all the information I needed (or just asked for because I like to know everything) and was thoroughly professional throughout the whole procedure from start to finish. I would happily have paid twice the amount they charged for the service I got. 10/10.

Also being patient enough to explain some of the technical nuances is "English" for me, that you quickly learn about through the conveyancing process.
