The practice was originally formed in 1988 and was known as Michael Stephenson & Co. A subsequent partnership with Mark Fairweather from Leiston gave rise to the firm of Fairweather Stephenson & Co which the current Managing Director, Patrick Cooney, joined in 1995. The practice has operated from its premises in Hamilton Road, Felixstowe for many years and continues to increase its client base under the new name of Fairstep Solicitors. We undertake many different areas of legal work, which can be found on our services page, together with particulars of our hardworking team. We would highly recommend Fairstep Solicitors. Conveyancing was one of our main worries, as so many of our friends had bad experiences with other companies. However, Fairstep solicitors and especially Georgina Hawkes – made the whole buying our first home process feel simple and stress-free.
We always received quick responses and regular updates through the portal, email and phone, which gave us real peace of mind. Even when our questions may not have made much sense, Georgina remained professional, patient, and explained everything clearly. She was always one step ahead.

Gemma & Charlotte have been dealing with our first time buyer house purchase. They have both been exceptional with communications, updates and explaining.
