Ajantha handled my FLR(M) application as an unmarried partner, and from the moment she took it on she went through everything with me point by point. Nothing was assumed and nothing was left for me to guess at. Every time I contacted her she came back quickly, and the answers were never generic. I have dealt with a lot of lawyers in the US and in Korea over the years, and what stood out here was that she responded to my actual situation rather than reciting the rules back at me. When something was unclear she told me what it meant for me specifically. There were several points where the online system threw errors, and more than a few where the problem was simply my own mistake. I know I made her job harder than it needed to be. She never once let it show. She stayed calm, told me what to do next, and made sure I did not panic about any of it. On more than one occasion she was still helping me well outside office hours. When the decision came through she let me know straight away, before anyone else, and she sounded as pleased about it as I was. That is not something I expected from a solicitor, and after months of waiting it meant a great deal. English is not my first language and immigration rules are hard to follow even in plain English.
