Solicitors scare me; they usually use terminology I don't understand and they can be very expensive. However, I had to use them because I was being denied money from my ex through a house sale and they helped me through the process of getting a fair financial consent order. I did gather quotes from other solicitors and although they weren't the cheapest, they were very fair! They took into account my low wage and the fact I had no savings. They tried to keep it as low cost as possible. What got me interested in using DMH Stallard was Rachael. She met with me on a teams call and I found her very personable. I was never made to feel like an idiot, she answered all my questions honestly and Rachael and her team were always contactable. They fought in my corner, gave me so much advise and explained anything I quired clearly. I highly recommend.

Our experience with this firm when it was Griffith Smith was not very pleasant. We felt they did not respect our points of view, or barely listened to them, & the plethora of mistakes they made we were obliged to pay for. They also disregarded what was written in our statement, putting their own spin on it, & making it seem as if we were to blame. It took years for the company to resolve our issue & then they presented us with a huge bill. Not impressed.

My wife died of cancer. It was slow and complicated, and then she was gone. Initially I was a numb, but eventually knew I had to get probate sorted, and dropped an email to Sara McGrigor, because DMH Stallard had helped us with our wills and LPAs a few years ago. I cannot recommend Sara more highly. She did the empathetic stuff, but then got on with outlining the practical things she needed and the outlined the process and costs - which are not small, but Sara did her best to tell me how to do things I could do myself. During a painful time, the legal process was as painless as it could be. Eventually I had to drop into the office and sign papers and pick up the deed of probate. It was lovely meeting Sara in person and sharing stories. The whole process left me feeling I had found a friend.

I liked Rachel Osgood from our first meeting. She was friendly and empathetic. Throughout my divorce she always responded very swiftly to requests and provided timely updates as things progressed.
