Too long, too expensive

Our experience with this firm when it was Griffith Smith was not very pleasant. We felt they did not respect our points of view, or barely listened to them, & the plethora of mistakes they made we were obliged to pay for. They also disregarded what was written in our statement, putting their own spin on it, & making it seem as if we were to blame. It took years for the company to resolve our issue & then they presented us with a huge bill. Not impressed.

Professional and friendly

I highly recommend Jennifer Douglas, Associate Solicitor at DMH Stallard LLP, who provided help related to my divorce. She was very quick to get in touch. I felt that my meeting with her was very informative and subsequently, she gave advice that I found very useful. Thank you very much, Jennifer.

Third time and always great

Julia Macey and her team have been my go-to solicitor for three sales and purchases. Very easy to communicate with and a straightforward approach, I highly recommend DMH stallard as a sensible alternative to the big on-line conveyancers sold to you by your commission based agent! Although so much is out of a conveyancers control, Julia and the team kept us well informed throughout. Thank you!

Kind, patient and straightforward

Thank you Julia, for all your assistance in helping to push through my mother’s house sale and purchase with patience, kindness and expertise. You were a voice of calm and sense when it was all going pear-shaped! And extremely responsive - I never had to chase for a reply from you, you were straight on it.

Thank goodness for Julia

Julia - I wanted to take the time to send you my sincere thanks for your understanding and empathy in handling the legal sale of my parents property.

It’s been long and protracted ( in our eyes) but your support during pigeon gate and the roof guarantee delay was appreciated. I really appreciated your human side when I explained the unexpected loss of my sister and the impact of the delays to sellers aged nearly 85!

I’m sure in your profession testimonials are usually more about efficiency, responsiveness and thoroughness, which I praise you on too, but being an empathetic human is much more of a compliment in my eyes.

You represented the Churchill partnership really well and you were the ‘can do’ approach for us.

Thanks from us all
Carolyn, Anne & John

3rd time using Julia Macey

I was first recommended Julia Macey by my mortgage broker in 2019. I have since used her for a re-mortgage (with equity release), a property purchase and most recently a property sale. Julia had previously impressed me so much, that when I found out she had moved firms, I tracked her new company down (DMH Stallard) online in order to use her again. Property sale/purchase is incredibly stressful and it makes a significant difference having an well-organised, on-the-ball, solicitor on your side. Julia was always happy to answer my questions and explain any issues to me. Every time I have dealt with her she has been extremely efficient in dealing with matters and is happy to give the buyers/sellers solicitors a polite nudge when needed!
Paralegal, Helen Earl, was also superb and incredibly patient in dealing with me.

A very professional team at DMH Stallard, whom I would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Property

Julia was recommended to me for a property sale and purchase. The work was carried out on time and on budget. Julia remained calm and efficient at all times and was not phased when asked difficult questions by the buyer. She was pro-active and quick to answer emails.

I would use Julia's conveyancing services again.
