I am a dual-qualified lawyer specialising in residential conveyancing. I qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2020 and a Licensed Conveyancer in 2023, and have over 13 years’ experience in dealing with a variety residential conveyancing transactions. I have worked in Bristol and South Gloucestershire for my whole career, and still work remotely in Bristol as a self-employed Consultant. Since 2017 I have specialised in acting for clients purchasing new build homes directly from Developers. As well as new build conveyancing, I deal with the purchase of older properties, the sale of property, re-mortgages, Help to Buy loan redemptions, and Forces Help to Buy. I deal with clients across the country, they do not need to be based in Bristol. I pride myself on my quick response times to assist my clients in meeting their exchange deadlines. I believe that clients should be regularly updated - and as I am a Consultant, clients will deal with me personally, rather than being passed to an unqualified team or admin staff.     Keep calm and carry on

    Started our journey to sell in November 2025 finally completed in August ‘26 after a previous chain had collapsed in June. Emma has been central to our success giving us cool and assured professional advice instilling a calmness and reducing anxiety when the previous chain collapsed.Cynics might argue that it was in her interest to promote a continuance but Emma exuded genuine empathy; always available to steady our nerves and contribute logic, realism and knowledge of the process to our decisions. Our sale and purchase would not have happened without her and her oppo, Amber Simpson.

    Best solicitor in the world

    Emma helped me with my buying my first home. It was all new to me and I didn’t really have much idea on what to expect, but Emma made the process so smooth and easy for me I really can’t thank her enough. She kept me updated throughout the whole process even when there wasn’t necessarily meaningful updates from the other side, so I always knew what was going on. No question was made to feel like a silly question and I felt fully supported the entire time.     Property sale/purchase - fantastic!

    Emma (Leighton-Carey) has been absolutely fantastic, she handled both the sale and purchase of our properties and made everything so easy and straightforward. We were introduced to Emma through our new build building company, knowing that new builds require more work than your standard conveyancing work, Emma was available, responsive and attentive throughout the process, any questions big or small she was able to guide us through, and it never got ‘stressful’ - we didn’t ever have to chase, in fact I think Emma chased us a few times!
