Louise very kindly helped me with the basics of my query to help me understand whether it was worth making a claim without charging me a fee. I really appreciated the time she took to help me with some basic questions that most other firms wouldn’t help with without charging an extortionate fee. I was referred to Taylor Rose MW by Halifax for a remortgage, under the impression that conveyancing would be free. What followed was a stressful and poorly managed experience.
Despite doing the research myself (including identifying the HR4 form needed to resolve a home rights issue), I was charged an undisclosed fee just days before completion. I had no prior warning and no real choice but to pay it to avoid delays.
This is my second complaint about their service. Communication was poor, timelines slipped, and I felt completely unsupported. After reading other reviews, it’s clear this isn’t an isolated case.
I’ve submitted a formal complaint to the Legal Ombudsman and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

TR did not complete a document for us properly which resulted in financial losses in the £10,000s. Their response to our complaint was that they could not comment on the legal standing of the document. Engage with this firm at your peril!

Annie was very good at communicating, unlike other solicitors. We always felt at ease, as she was always answering our questions no matter how many time we contacted her. She made it such an easy and stress free process. Helping with every single step all the way through the process. I could not recommend Annie enough, such a professional and helpful solicitor.

I used Taylor Rose for my conveyancing which I now deeply regret due to the stress it has caused me. My solicitor was rude and unprofessional; she didn’t accept any calls and I had to ring her office on multiple occasions to get a response. There were a few things that we were anxious about as first time buyers, which she didn’t take into consideration. Prior to completion, I asked for the invoice but she couldn’t be bothered to send it. The day before completion, she sent an incorrect invoice to which I had to query, she then proceeded to send another invoice that was £900 over the original quote (Fix my Legals). I had to get fix my Legals involved into the email chain to which they informed her on multiple occasions that the invoice was incorrect and her response was essentially if you don’t pay up I will not be releasing the funds and you won’t be completing tomorrow. No customer care or empathy whatsoever. The TR Client Care team have done nothing, they didn’t even address or apologise for her unprofessionalism.
