Lily joined Morr & Co in March 2016 and is a Partner in the Commercial Property department covering both the Teddington and Wimbledon offices. Lily graduated from Kingston University in 2012 with a 1st class honours degree in journalism and Spanish and then went on to complete a postgraduate diploma in law in 2014. Lily completed her training contract at property specialist firm, Matrix Legal, in Kingston upon Thames whilst simultaneously studying for the LPC and LLM in Legal Practice. During her studies Lily had several of her research papers published in legal journals, including in the Conveyancer and Property Lawyer. Lily has experience dealing with freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, grant and renewal of business leases, licences for assignments/sub-lettings and alterations, transfer of premises licences, refinances, option agreements, funding arrangements and other commercial property matters. Specifically, Lily has acted on the refinance of a property portfolio with a value of £16million and has assisted both the corporate team and the property team on multi-million pound asset sales. As a department, the team works closely with their corporate colleagues to facilitate corporate and commercial transactions that involve property issues. Lily is interested in all areas of commercial property but for her LLM wrote an in-depth research paper focusing on the over-charging of management and administration fees in leasehold developments. The piece is due to be published shortly.
