Franklins Solicitors LLP

This is the 3rd time I have used Franklins and I feel I can trust them to get the job done without delays. Communication has always been good and although not the cheapest, you get good service for your money.

Thought Franklins had done an amazing on my property purchase in August 2022. Unfortunately in April 2024 I discovered that the management fee accounts dating back as far as 2017 had not been finalised and all of the adjustments were now my financial responsibility. As my acting solicitor on my purchase it was Franklins responsibility to have found this out and advise me of it pre purchase. As it stands at the moment I am £1300 out of pocket with another 2 years 8 months of adjustments that date prior to my purchase that I will be liable for when the accounts are completed. I have been in contact with Franklins since April and gone through their 8 week complaint process and all I have had back is "they are conacting the sellers solicitor". Appalling!

I recently had the misfortune of putting my sale and purchase in the hands of Franklin's Solicitors. It was the most stressful time, I never thought I would battle for cooperation with someone I was paying for a service from. The solicitor who handled my matter was rude, patronising, and worst of all showed no sense of urgency or real interest in whether things progress or not. Just read the other reviews on here, the problem is systemic and no doubt a culture issue which comes from the top. The service was so unprofessional, do yourselves a favour, save the stress and hassle and find a decent solicitor for your move.

ZERO rating total lack of ownership leadership and communication. Lost paper work(2wks secretary had filed them and told no one) no chasing after documents(10wks knowing there was a 4wk+ leeway) Asked the same question 4 times over a 2 wk period even though they had the answer written down in the pack in the office told them to proceed before going on holiday only to get phone calls and emails asking the question we had already answered If you are planning on moving this yr then look else where or you will have to wait 16wks. Spoke to Manager re complaint told me he would respond 48hrs later no response so went down complaints procedure Complaints procedure ?? waited 21 days for a reply on our queries as per the company policy no answers re raised points then asked if they wanted me to look into these again and what wait another 21 days. so looks like the ombudsman to get this sorted Also told when asked if i could write a review sorry we dont post negative ones - looking at the reviews on the web no one has done one for 12 months??? WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Everything was very efficiently dealt with in a calm and friendly manner.

Very difficult sale many problems but all dealt with efficiently and with friendly service happy with costs

A very good service, largely clear and managed well. Initially it would be good to talk to someone as the service is largely remote and the customer is expected to understand the whole process. Either way I would use them again

I dealt with Georgia for matters related to a settlement agreement for leaving my role - Georgia was professional, friendly and had all the knowledge and expertise needed to help me through the process in record time, with best results for me. Additionally, due to personal circumstances, I needed to interact without actually attending Franklins premises: I was able to do this frictionlessly via phone calls, online meetings and remote signing facilities.
