Lack of updates, had to constantly call up Move me in portal pointless as a progress and communication tool, only seems to be used for uploading docs Rochelle’s tone is incredibly dismissive, rude and hostile Lack of transparency on extra charges, they weren’t explained upfront but appeared on the final bill and were excessive Had to remind, double check and resend things throughout Was told a completion date but then had a last minute call saying the buyer searches hadn’t been returned yet, completion then did not happen for 3 more months

Condescending in their approach. No attempt to update on the status of the conveyancing process.

Zero communication and then hounded for repeat instruction when my buyer pulled out of sale. I had to beg multiple times for the return of my original documents. Shoddy customer service. I would never instruct them again for conveyancing.

Dear B Runham, Thank you for your feedback. We are so pleased to hear that we provided such an excellent level of service during your transaction. Kind regards, PCS Legal
Shocking communication. Exhausted from continually having to chase them up. Never, ever again. The person who is dealing with your transaction is not a solicitor.
I recently wrapped up a property transaction with them earlier this month, and the whole process felt unnecessarily drawn out. What should have been a fairly straightforward purchase (no complicated chain involved) ended up taking nearly five months, with long stretches of no progress or communication. Getting updates was frustrating. We often had to follow up multiple times just to get a response, and even then the information provided was vague and didn’t really clarify where things stood. There was never a clear timeline or sense of urgency, which made it difficult to plan anything on our end. Another issue was how documents were handled. Large batches would just be sent over with little to no explanation, leaving us to figure things out ourselves. As first-time buyers, we expected at least some guidance, but that just wasn’t there. What really added stress was how late certain queries were raised. After months of little movement, they suddenly came back with questions about paperwork we had already submitted long ago—right before completion. We were then expected to respond immediately, despite having spent weeks trying to get updates from them earlier in the process. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and reactive rather than proactive. It made an already stressful process even more frustrating than it needed to be.
Used PCS for a conveyancing matter and the biggest issue was communication. I’d send emails and sometimes wouldn’t hear back for days, and when I did, the replies were very brief and didn’t really explain what was going on or what the next step was.
A disappointing experience from start to finish with PCS Legal. Employed in the sale of a property, their many failings included sending incorrect details to parties involved in the sale, failing to respond to queries raised by the buyer’s solicitor, and not ensuring contracts were signed in time for completion. They also withheld retention funds after the sale beyond the agreed period. Cheap, but I would never use them again.

I have used PCS Legal (Team foxtrot) on 4 occasions now and will use them every time! Readily available until early evening to answer questions. Proactive and problem solving! Nice people to deal with. Excellent value for money, no hidden extras and any additional costs are flagged and explained. They really do make what can be a stressful and bewildering time so simple and easy.

Having gained power of attorney for our parents ourselves my wife and I opted to use a solicitor to do our own as we had work and caring commitments. We opted to visit the Wickford office to fill out the forms by the solicitor to avoid any delays or mistakes. This was June 2023. Two more visits were required as the forms were returned from the power of attorney office incomplete. Another home visit was required for another error. Complaints made and a partial refund but only received power of attorney in January 2026. Power of attorney applications are about as basic as it gets for a solicitor but seemingly even this is too complicated . I wish we had done it ourselves and saved the money. Very poor service .
Before choosing PCS legal, make sure you are not given Isaac as the case handler. Takes weeks to reply to any messages and takes even longer to sort out any paperwork and also has a tonne of hidden costs which were only surfaced at the very end. Avoid at all costs.

My experience with this conveyancing service was disappointing. Although my solicitor did reply to emails, communication was often slow and updates were limited. I frequently had to chase for progress, and the estate agent also had to follow up several times. I provided my identification documents and bank statements at the beginning of the transaction in February. However, additional source of funds checks and requests for further bank statements were only raised several months later, which caused unnecessary delays. I believe these checks should have been carried out much earlier in the process. Also, it spent a very long time to check. Buying a property is a significant commitment, and I expected more proactive case management and better communication. While the transaction did progress eventually, the overall experience was more stressful than it needed to be.
Shocking service, never reply to emails or calls. Endless delays and confusion. No single point of contact, everything handled by a team. Have delayed house sale by about 3 months due to their incompetence. Avoid if you want to save yourself a lot of hassle and stress.
I used for a simple house purchase. Ridiculously slow and minimal response to emails, I would avoid!
Leanne , Holly and Kiera were incredible and made what could have been a very stressful process having not moved home for over 20 yers as stress free aa possible and answered by barrage of questions quickly and simply through out - I cant thank them enough
