I recently used PCS legal for my property purchase and was pleased with the overall service. The team was professional, responsive, and kept the transaction moving throughout the process. Communication was generally clear, and they handled the legal aspects efficiently. The only area that could have been better was cost transparency. The final legal fees were higher than the initial quotation, which was disappointing and made budgeting more difficult. While the additional charges may have been justified, I would have appreciated a clearer explanation of potential extra costs from the outset. Overall, the transaction completed successfully, and I was satisfied with the service provided. I would consider using them again, particularly if fee estimates and possible additional charges were made clearer at the beginning.

Our experience with PCS Legal was unfortunately very disappointing. Known post-completion fees were omitted from the completion statement provided before completion, meaning we later had to pay an additional £504 due to failures in the handling of our file. These fees were only raised almost one year after completion, which also delayed our Land Registry registration process. PCS later acknowledged that the standard process had not been followed correctly by the original case handler who had since left the business. However, as clients, we do not believe we should have had to suffer the consequences of those internal failures. Communication throughout was reactive, and we often had to chase updates ourselves. We also received repeated references to possible legal action, whereas the management company was actually transparent and constructive when we contacted them directly. Although the matter was eventually resolved, the overall handling of our file caused unnecessary stress, delays and additional costs.

I paid approximately £1,000 for a loan agreement drawn up by Kylie Bourne and legal charge, in addition to over £1,900 in conveyancing fees, to protect £120,000 I lent for my son’s property purchase. PCS Legal have since admitted the charge was not in place at completion, leaving the money unsecured — exactly the risk they were instructed to prevent. The matter was handled day-to-day by a conveyancing assistant Charlotte Keen, rather than a qualified solicitor, and there were repeated issues with communication and basic handling of key documentation, including confusion over whether the loan agreement had been properly signed before completion. This later caused complications with a mortgage lender. PCS Legal upheld this failure in their complaint response but offered only £250 and refused to refund the fee paid specifically for the charge work. I am now referring the matter to the Legal Ombudsman. If you are relying on a firm to properly secure funds, I would think very carefully.

This firm represented a young couple in our small chain during our recent move!!! Not answering phone calls unless numbers witheld!! Poor response to emails Slow response to enquires in general Lies to how far things were proceeding throughout the whole process It even seemed they deliberately held things up!!! My advice is do your homework read the reviews and find a decent solicitor /conveyancer not these!!!! You have been warned Not cheap and definitely not cheerfull
