We cannot recommend Emily Allen and the team at HCR Law highly enough. From instructing them to completing on our new home, the whole process took exactly 14 days, which was an incredible turnaround. What made it even more impressive was the amount of pressure and tight deadlines involved towards completion. Despite a few last minute complications outside of their control, Emily remained incredibly responsive, proactive and reassuring throughout. Buying a house can be stressful at the best of times, but having someone who is on top of everything, communicates clearly and genuinely seems to care makes such a huge difference. Emily was professional, efficient and incredibly knowledgeable, and we always felt that things were being dealt with promptly and thoroughly. Completing in exactly 14 days from instruction is something we honestly did not expect when we started the process, and we are hugely grateful to Emily for helping make it happen. Sarah was fantastic from the word go, but really kicked into another gear when solicitors up the chain were dragging their feet and putting the chain at risk. Don't have any yardstick to compare to, but Alison was always proactive and friendly so I suspect she's quite good at the role. I've heard a lot of horror stories about solicitors who are always on the back foot and shirking communication so was delighted that Alison was the complete opposite of this.

Used Sarah Loveridge for the sale and purchase of property. She was a consummate professional throughout, despite having to deal with some less that competent solicitors in the chain. Can't recommend her highly enough. She also dealt with the sale of my brother's property and he had a similar experience

We instructed Wright Hassall over two and a half years ago to handle the first registration and transfer of property following my husband’s death. The property is still not registered — let alone transferred. For months, I was told they were “waiting for the Land Registry”. Eventually, they stopped responding altogether. I lodged a formal complaint at the end of June 2025, but to this day, I have received no meaningful update — only vague assurances that the matter is “being looked into.” After speaking directly with HM Land Registry today, I discovered they have been waiting since February 2025 for additional information they requested from Wright Hassall, and the firm is yet to provide it. This level of incompetence and poor communication has caused me immense stress on top of the grief of widowhood. I am unable to sell the property because of their inaction, and their handling of this matter has been nothing short of unacceptable. If you value efficiency, transparency, and professionalism, I would strongly advise caution before instructing this firm.

Absolutely one of the worst experience I have ever had after house sale fell through..my advice would be to definitely do your research before you contemplate using them.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with Tom from HCR legal. Tom has helped me with the remortgage of my property and it has been a smooth process from start to finish. We recently had to work with Richard Phillips and his team at Wright Hassall in Leamington Spa, regarding a land ownership issue. The issue was resolved in our favour and we were more than happy with the work that Richard and his team carried out. He kept us informed during the process and the final invoice for completing the work was acceptable. I would recommend Wright Hassall if you need help with a land issue.
