Jenny McPhee handled my case. Excellent service from start to completion of buying my house. Everything was explained in full. Very speedy replies to any e mails sent . The whole process was explained and each stage was handled quickly and professionally making the whole process stress free. The costs were good value for the service that was given. The purchase was carried out timeously the whole process took about 9 weeks !!
I would definitely recommend and will certainly be using them again to arrange my will.
The reception staff were always very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. 1st class firm .

Through the last 5 years of Mums life. Mum pragmatically attend to her affairs to ensure when her time came her relatives had no issues and all her wishes were fully understood and executed to the letter. This started 3 years prior to Mum passing when we setup POA's to cover Mums financial and medical matters as her cognitive abilities gradually reduced. Blackhurst were contacted and POA's were setup utilising home visits which were freely suggested and the best option for Mums welfare. The same was done for a supporting Will. Finally when Mum passed in 2023 her estate closure and probate matters were completed with exemplary efficiency. Well Done an excellent job completed with great care, understanding and efficiency end to end at a competitive price. Thanks To All at Blackhurst Budd LTD.

When you first receive a letter from a fire authority siting your FRA to not be suitable and sufficient your world falls apart if you are a consensus fire risk assessor. Warren was very reassuring with support and advise from the outset of my instruction.

Starting in February of 2021, my case lasted nearly three years but the support from Warren provided was immense. As a result of Warrens support, advice and guidance, my company and I were eventually found Not Guilty of sited wrongdoing by the Fire Authority. Warren’s recommendations included things such as not to attend PACE interviews (as we were not legally compelled to do) so but instead to politely asked the fire authority to site their questions in writing. This is just one of many areas in which I would not have been aware of my rights without Warrens advice.

I used these solicitors when purchasing my first house, from what i remember i couldnt fault them. However when using them for conveyancing and transfer of equity all i can say is absolute Incompetence! First issue i had was there fees for the service was quoted i accepted this quote then 3 weeks before completion They tried to DOUBLE it. It was a straight forward job no hidden problems, no disputes etc they just said it was mis quoted and conveyancing and transfer of equity were two seperate services even though on my original quote it boldly said the quote was for both services. After disputing this matter for a whole week they "wavered" the "double" quote however still charged me slightly more when they provided me with my new quote they sent me what i think was someone eles product quote as it wasnt my name on it. Therefore had to chase up "my quote". on the completion date my solicitor who had been dealing with it wasnt even in so someone else had to deal with the completion. It all went through thankfully fine then 1 week after the completion the same incompetent solicitor sent me a email saying i owed them more money as 1 service was more than "they thought" , and an "administrative charge" for the morgage needed paying. I paid it as i just wanted the account shut down. I wont be using this firm ever again, even my morgage broker was appalled at there service.
If your needing a solicitor i would definitely look elsewhere!

Selling your house and purchasing another one ? I can safely say my experience with Janine was outstanding beyond belief. Her speed of replies to emails is wonderful, she not only took over the purchase of our next home but did it within any usual long time frame. She and she alone made sure we could move 10 days before Xmas and not after the 1st of January. We are extremely indebted to her so we say thanks to her .Mike
