I had previously used Blackhurst Budd to help me to evict a "difficult" tenant. Therefore, I had no hesitation is asking the firm to handle the conveyancing of the house sale. Janine Cato carried out the transaction with the minimum of fuss and made each stage easy and straightforward by delivering paperwork on time and answering my questions promptly and politely. Have nothing but praise for the firm and those working there. It has been a pleasure to undertake what might have been more traumatic cases.

At a cost of approx £900 and 3 years later all resolved, didn’t help that Blackhurst Budd sent the wrong forms to Land Registry who contacted me who then had to contact Blackhurst Budd of this error. Little communication received even registered on Land Registry site to see what was happening, noticed things had changed approx 6 months ago but not willing to pay £14 for the documents.
Land Registry site does indicate that for 1st registration it can be upto 20 months, so 3 years?

We used Janine Cato from blackhurst budd as our solicitor for us buying our first home. She was really helpful and very quick at responding , this was our first experience in buying a home and she made the process really easy and explained everything we didn’t understand. A lot of people usually complain about this process so we were apprehensive but we have no complaints! Thank you very much we will be recommending you going forward

After 3 months of review and after posting countless documents out at our own cost they dropped our case, due to legislation that did not apply to the building we are purchasing. They provided little to no context & were unresponsive.
I called regularly to request updates and no one was ever available to discuss the case on the phone. Blunt emails were all we received in return.
Very unhelpful & incapable of processing even the most basic cases. Do not use!
