I have had a very negative experience with these Solicitors. They dealt with my fathers Estate in 2007. We thought everything had been sorted On ringing the Land Registry a few weeks ago I was astonished to find they have no record of my dad dying. I got back in touch with Fieldings Porter only to be fobbed off. A truly dreadful service. Avoid like the plague
We paid up front for some advice about conveyancing and the advice was "yes we can sort this out for you no problem" so we paid another amount of money to see the specialist who told us "no we can't sort this". We only got part of the money for the second payment back. I would only use a solicitor who offers a free first consultation.
Mr Allen, I am sorry to read your dissatisfaction that in 2018 under our fixed fee scheme in which you received advice and then further advice from another qualified lawyer that you decided not to proceed. Given that you chose not to proceed we correctly refunded money you had paid on account.
