After contradicting his own words on multiple occasions, we were coerced then into making a decision, with threats of large fees if we did not accept his ill given advice. The whole process felt rushed and he did not seem to take into account any information we gave them. The solicitor has even got fees wrong, putting monthly rent rather than weekly meaning their calculations would’ve been roughly 25% that of the expected. After being made aware of this simple data entry error, they refuse to re-calculate anything. And actually went back on previous legally binding agreements we have made. Complaint is being processed and a dispute raised with third-party investigative services.

They didn’t just help me win financial compensation — thanks to their hard work and persistence, I got a brand new kitchen, a complete new bathroom, and a new toilet installed as well! It completely transformed my home and fixed all the problems I was suffering with for so long. What I appreciated most was their communication. When your home is in a state of disrepair it is your landlords responsibility to fix it !! In our case there was several holes in the roof causing significant mould and damp . My housing association were asked politely over several years to fix it . Their own surveyors told them they had to fix it and instead of this they blamed me for “drying washing in the house”??!! Finally I contacted Satchell Moran and now our things are not being destroyed by mould and damp . My children finally have a safe space to sleep and play . Thank you to the whole team here who worked hard. on our behalf we tried and couldn’t do it without you xx

★☆☆☆☆ Extremely disappointing experience – I would not recommend this firm My experience with Satchell Moran Solicitors was extremely disappointing. I feel completely let down by the way my case was handled from beginning to end. My case concerned a serious leak involving my property and a claim against Westminster Council’s repair service. The leak lasted for more than 8 weeks, and I provided extensive evidence, including photographs and videos showing the condition of the leak, as well as photographs of my furniture and belongings that were damaged as a result. Despite providing all this evidence, I felt that my case was not handled with the level of attention, communication and commitment I expected from a legal firm. Communication was particularly disappointing, and I often felt that I was left without proper updates or clear explanations about what was happening with my case. After going through the stress of a prolonged leak, damaged belongings and dealing with the council, I expected my solicitors to properly support and represent me. Instead, I feel they let me down when I needed them most. Based on my personal experience, I would strongly advise people to think very carefully before choosing this firm for a housing disrepair or council-related claim. Make sure you fully understand how your case will be handled, what evidence will be considered, and how communication will be maintained throughout. For me, this was a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience, and I would not choose Satchell Moran Solicitors again. I am sharing this review so that others can make an informed decision before instructing them.

If the council lie then they'll be backed regardless of proof. No payout received to replace my damaged furniture even though I signed the Satchell Moran paperwork before I signed off that repairs are completed with the council. Be sure to follow anyone round for the inspection and show any/all damage. Black mould visible, council denied it (even stated it was a different building) and Satchell Moran backed them. It is black mould, it's visible. Again, no payout to replace ANY of my damaged furniture from the rising damp which the council did confirm was an issue. Signed off with the solicitors BEFORE the council, but I was shouted at over the phone by the person handling the case. I do not reccommend unless you're happy to follow the inspectors around the property. No idea why there's no payout coming just was shouted at "can't action it now" Do not reccommend this company. The only good thing is that 98% of repairs were done. Not all repairs complete, just 98%.

Could not recommend this firm enough! Lois has been an absolute pleasure to work alongside. She made the whole process so easy and kept us clearly informed throughout our housing dispute. She was always incredibly pleasant, patient and understanding, no matter how many questions or queries we had! My mum’s English is not the best, but Lois always made her feel completely comfortable and confident throughout the process. She was incredibly patient in explaining everything and always made sure my mum understood what was happening. We genuinely felt that Lois always gave us the best advice and guidance, as she would have done for herself. Her team were fantastic too, including Amber and Ava, who were always lovely and helpful whenever we needed to get in touch. Honestly, I would recommend this firm 100 times over if I could! We are so grateful for all their help and support and wish the whole team the best of luck for future endeavours 🌟

I had a qood experience with this company when making a Housing Disrepair Claim. The compensation received from the Council wasn't a large amount compared to what I spent, but Stephen Sweeney did a good job. Very grateful
