Having gained over 40 years of combined experience in dealing, in the main with personal injury litigation, the duo decided to start a firm that meets with, not only the ever-changing business climate, but more importantly the ever-changing requests for legal assistance from their clients, both existing and new. In the initial stages, it was decided to integrate their business, with the changing legal climate, in tandem with the customers’ needs at the forefront. I asked for help with disrepair and they didn't listen to me about what i had to say forced me to except the claim and closed taking most of the compensation. They got £900 for my claim which I only received £300 and cut off commission once paid and haven't replied or spoken to me since I will never use them again. They didn't send an inspector to look at my property or make much sense with appointments making them to talk to barrister then cancel. Not very professional. I would chose wisely if I need help again. Be ware...

When your home is in a state of disrepair it is your landlords responsibility to fix it !! In our case there was several holes in the roof causing significant mould and damp . My housing association were asked politely over several years to fix it . Their own surveyors told them they had to fix it and instead of this they blamed me for “drying washing in the house”??!! Finally I contacted Satchell Moran and now our things are not being destroyed by mould and damp . My children finally have a safe space to sleep and play . Thank you to the whole team here who worked hard. on our behalf we tried and couldn’t do it without you xx

★☆☆☆☆ Extremely disappointing experience – I would not recommend this firm My experience with Satchell Moran Solicitors was extremely disappointing. I feel completely let down by the way my case was handled from beginning to end. My case concerned a serious leak involving my property and a claim against Westminster Council’s repair service. The leak lasted for more than 8 weeks, and I provided extensive evidence, including photographs and videos showing the condition of the leak, as well as photographs of my furniture and belongings that were damaged as a result. Despite providing all this evidence, I felt that my case was not handled with the level of attention, communication and commitment I expected from a legal firm. Communication was particularly disappointing, and I often felt that I was left without proper updates or clear explanations about what was happening with my case. After going through the stress of a prolonged leak, damaged belongings and dealing with the council, I expected my solicitors to properly support and represent me. Instead, I feel they let me down when I needed them most. Based on my personal experience, I would strongly advise people to think very carefully before choosing this firm for a housing disrepair or council-related claim. Make sure you fully understand how your case will be handled, what evidence will be considered, and how communication will be maintained throughout. For me, this was a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience, and I would not choose Satchell Moran Solicitors again. I am sharing this review so that others can make an informed decision before instructing them.

If the council lie then they'll be backed regardless of proof. No payout received to replace my damaged furniture even though I signed the Satchell Moran paperwork before I signed off that repairs are completed with the council. Be sure to follow anyone round for the inspection and show any/all damage. Black mould visible, council denied it (even stated it was a different building) and Satchell Moran backed them. It is black mould, it's visible. Again, no payout to replace ANY of my damaged furniture from the rising damp which the council did confirm was an issue. Signed off with the solicitors BEFORE the council, but I was shouted at over the phone by the person handling the case. I do not reccommend unless you're happy to follow the inspectors around the property. No idea why there's no payout coming just was shouted at "can't action it now" Do not reccommend this company. The only good thing is that 98% of repairs were done. Not all repairs complete, just 98%. "Please call" nothing resolved. Just told again the same The council have lied, theyre allowing them to lie. My furniture has actual damp and mould growing on the bottom of it

Could not recommend this firm enough! Lois has been an absolute pleasure to work alongside. She made the whole process so easy and kept us clearly informed throughout our housing dispute. She was always incredibly pleasant, patient and understanding, no matter how many questions or queries we had! Excellent Service – Highly Recommend I had a very positive experience with Luke Prendergast at Satchell Moran Solicitors. My experience with Satchell Moran Solicitors has been extremely disappointing, and I feel let down by the way my case was ultimately handled. I instructed the firm in relation to a potential claim following my arrest. I had concerns about the circumstances of my arrest, the length of time I was detained, and the way these issues were addressed when assessing my case. I was particularly disappointed that my concerns about the excessive period of detention did not appear to receive the attention I expected in the final assessment of my case. I also disputed the suggestion that an important incident had not been disclosed, as I had discussed it during a pre-call and read out a prepared statement. The firm ultimately advised that my case lacked prospects and closed my file. I was then informed that I could obtain my file of papers subject to an administrative charge of £142 plus VAT for up to one hour’s work. Given the outcome and my concerns about the handling of my case, this was an additional frustration. I appreciate that solicitors cannot guarantee a successful outcome, and I understand that not every claim will proceed. However, I expected my concerns to be fully addressed, my case to be assessed thoroughly, and the reasons for the decision to be clearly explained. Based on my personal experience, I would not use Satchell Moran Solicitors again. I would encourage anyone considering instructing them to ask detailed questions about how their case will be assessed, how their concerns will be addressed, and what charges may apply if the firm closes their file.
