This was a complex sale involving registration of a small area of the site of Dowtys not previously registered with the land registry owing to the original purchase plan being incorrectly drawn. The land registry was particularly slow in dealing with the case and failed to notify us as applicants of an objection to the registration. That objection which it turned out was wholly unfounded lead to a further delay and protracted negotiations with the purchaser’s solicitor and the need for insurance to be taken out . There were other detailed points relating to the services connecting to the property eventually requiring purchase of insurance policies to satisfy the purchaser’s solicitor. All these matters were handled by Tim Crarer with persistent back up from Lynda Rhodes in an exemplary manner. The success of the sale of Dowtys in a very difficult housing market was made possible by Tim’s skill and considerable patience in dealing with a remarkably obdurate solicitor acting for the purchaser . We should add the patience and skill of Charlie Stone of Rural View Estate Agents acting for us who liaised closely with Tim was of significant assistance in bringing this sale to a satisfactory conclusion. My wife and I are immensely grateful for and impressed by the real legal expertise shown by our chosen team and especially that of Tim Crarer.
