A solicitor practising in this area advises on agency agreements, disclosures to buyers, competing offers, misrepresentation risks, and the enforceability of terms in property transactions. They review and draft client-facing documents, ensure compliance with consumer protection rules, and navigate disputes with agents, buyers or vendors, including regulatory investigations and professional indemnity considerations.

What a solicitor handles in these matters

The solicitor handles agency agreements, disclosures, cooling-off rules, misrepresentation issues, and commission arrangements, plus any disputes arising from marketing or sale processes. They work with clients, estate agents, buyers and sellers, and may liaise with lenders and local authorities to clear conditions and register titles. I contacted Cartmell Shepard for an issue with a neighbour dispute regarding property boundaries. I was initially concerned and nervous about the situation but after talking to Rob I felt reassured straight away about the case and what he was going to do. Rob was assertive and direct in his approach and as such the problem has been resolved. I am really thankful to the Rob and Josie for helping me to feel heard, understood and reassured. And helping to resolve to this issue. Thank you!

I highly recommend this solicitors, I had a dispute with my neighbour and Rob Boon overturned a wrongly given adverse possession therefore preventing development of the land. Throughout the process I received excellent communication, he was extremely professional and provided me with advice and support throughout.

Louise Langabeer

Tagged solicitor Louise Langabeer

We engaged Slee Blackwell to act for us in the sale of our house. We required an easement to be drawn up and a plan correction at the Land Registry before the usual legal formalities could take place. The conveyancing team were sympathetic to our anxious state, explained the process clearly and kept us informed at every stage. They patiently dealt with the forensic enquiries of (in my opinion) a very trying buyer and kept smiling through a tense and anxious engagement with The Land Registry.
