Absolutely dreadful! I contacted this company in December 2023 due to losing my job and employment caused ( with evidence) mental illness and suicidal tendancies. My employer has admitted responsibility in writing and all medical evidence is there including psychiatric reports. I completed various forms for Oakwood and had contact from them. I then heard nothing for months so in May 2024 I contacted Oakwood and asked what stage my case was at? I received a reply stating that it was not going to be taken on by them?! I replied stating that I was disgusted in the fact that no notification of this had been sent to me and no explanation. I then recieved a reply stating that they would look at my case again. Now we are in July 2024 and still nothing, meanwhile my time to claim is diminishing , time when I could have gone to a professional solicitor. I have no choice now but go to the SRA and see what they can do about the unprofessional flippant manner that this company operates. This is people's lives you are so carefree with, people who are very ill and on the edge! Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Now I see in response from Oakwood they go straight to the 'We did advise you we couldn't help you but you must not have received it' yarn. And then to state they advised me of this again in May 2024. This is not true, they replied in May 2024 but stated that my case we be passed back to the team to be reconsidered and that was it! Nothing more since, unless there is something else I didn't receive? This response makes me even more determined to take this further and don't forget, you cannot delete the emails I have! Or indeed attempt to lie about the content.

First and foremost I would like to thank Rabina Khaleeq the young lady who dealt with my compensation claim who was professional throughout my said claim. All correspondence in the form of regular updates both spoken and written word were made clear to me in layman’s language leaving me with a full understanding of how my claim was progressing. My settlement is now completed and I am more than happy with what I have been awarded thanks to the hard work of Rabina who I’m sure will continue to do well in her chosen profession and be an asset to her firm. Finally I would like to thank Oakwood solicitors who I would have no hesitation in recommending for taking on my claim something I would not have considered doing of my own accord
